My perfect tundra... 1. Crewmax. 2. 6ft bed 3. 4.7 Old School tundra v8. 4. 2.4kw power bed outlet. 5. Cbi steel front bumper with tow hooks. 6. Power side steps. 7. Power tonneau cover 8. Power up and down tailgate. 9. Skid plates 10. Black emblems, no chrome.

The #1 feature of this truck will be the price. The full-tilt truck is $6k-10k cheaper than a Big 3 truck with all the same stuff.

JD I agree it is a nice interior space. Also agree with you on the center console computer screen. I think they should have pushed it more forward like you said.

That destination charge is outrageous! To save money, I’d go to the plant and pick it up. I did just that when I went to pick up my travel trailer in Ohio from North Carolina. As much as these auto manufacturers charge for their trucks, they should waive the destination charge.

1335 lbs is what I'd expect out of the absolute top-end truck. That's certainly better than recent years past, when the most expensive versions of trucks had near-useless payloads like 995 lbs or something. As far as unexplained blanks in absolutely loaded trucks go, a lot of manufacturers do that. My best guesses are these: - Special access point(s) for manufacturer-certified shops to get to something electrical - Features not available in this market - Location of an existing feature when sold in a different market - Location for a feature that may become available in subsequent years

The blank you see there with all the controls next to the door is for the regular models for the manual headlight leveling control there's six manual leveling settings when you're towing I own a 22 tundra Limited TRD OFFROAD in Canada and that's why it's blank because it's Auto leveling lights in the 1794 platinum and Capstone oh and let me not forget TRD Pro 😅

The blank is where I have the manual adjustment for my headlights on the SR Also, my payload on my SR is the same, so the air suspension must help increase the payload on the higher trim

The tundra is high teens in the city. My Duramax got 20s in the city and 30s on highway. Diesel is more efficient.

It is a beautiful truck and having owned one, i can tell you that the fuel economy is horrible. Your f-450 probably does better. I hope toyota has corrected the issues with them now. The only benefit to the hybrid is increased horsepower and torque.

i have to agree and disagree,but i have a few points of my own.. the capstone does not have the option to have the trd off road package and i am not a fan of the auto running boards. i prefer the predator steps . and the windshield is available with the 1794 addition.. in my eyes you can get a fully loaded 1794 addition for 79875.45 i mean fully loaded i pick mine up sat and have been waiting for 5 months i ordered mine with the 3” factory lift and the dealer has the rims and tires ready im selling the factory ones… people please do you homework,don’t waste your money on the cap go for the 1794 loaded version

What I love: 12v outlet, inner lighting trim, seat trim. What I really dislike: at the end of the day, it’s a freikin truck. The practical nature to me is important. Not having a steel bumpers big. A small rear end on a 2020 might be a catastrophic collapse of the back end for a 24 capstone. It takes away from the durable feel. The screens way too big and sitting in my field of view. Prefer the era of screens that didn’t try to be a Tesla and distract me from driving. Analog dials are better, debate me. Anything physical that accomplishes the same is better. When and why did we decide removing the dials was the way to go? I feel like real truck owners don’t want an overpriced piece of tech, we want a truck

The new Tundras have fit and finish issues with interior seats, excessive rattles, and window trim issues. I own one and have had it the dealer often chasing problems on a 70k truck. Powertrain is great and overall like the truck but would not buy one again.

I wonder if many of those issues have been resolved in the 2024 models. I feel this truck has good fit and finish compared to the 2022 that I drove 2 years ago.

TRD Jon on RU-vid just posted a video about rattling window on his new one and the same seat problem mine had. Mine is a 2023 Platinum. I don’t think anything is fixed.

All those bells and whistles and it still can’t tow for crap. Maybe a nice single axle Winnie. Save $3500 and get a loaded Denali. At least when the batteries blow up you won’t have to worry about replacing the truck, cause you’ll go with it.

As F150 owner the "best of the best Tundra" doesn't impress me much. It doesn't even have 4WD Auto just Hi/Lo. Anyone driving in slick conditions appreciates 4WD Auto. I have 3 memory seats settings not 2 and massaging seats. The console area doesn't impress me compared to the Ford's with work space. 400W power is a joke compared to up to 7.2KW on the Fords. Does it have an App you can start, lock/unlock from your phone? No backup assist. Does it have locking differential? This would be like the mid level XLT Ford. It just doesn't even compare. Sorry.....

I am also an F150 owner and I agree with some of your comments. To me, the real differentiator is not the luxury package but the reliability you get with a Toyota. I have wished I bought the Tundra since about a month after I bought the F150……Ford’s reliability isn’t even in the same ballpark as Toyota.

I’m probably not too smart arguing that a Ford is more reliable than a Toyota, but I think Ford does have the reliability of their trucks perfected as much as any brand. It’s their bread and butter, and I’ve owned several f150s, and never had a single issue. I realize that I am a small sample size.

I have '18 Platinum with 126k miles and just do scheduled maintenance.....as reliable as it gets.
