Because USA is not a democracy. It is a Contitutional Republic and the elected Legislative Branch (the Senate and the House) makes and votes on legislation. You do not like what they are doing? VOTE them out of office! You get that opportunity this Nov. House terms are up every 2 years, Senate term are up every 6 years (staggered 1/3 of the Senate every 2 years). Run for office yourself if you wish. My God, we no longer have any knowledge about our government or Civics. That is a major reason to reform the education system foisted upon this Country by the Federal Dept of misEducation. It is embarrassing how deficient Citizens (We the People) have become. An informed public is key to the success or failure of a Constitutional Republic.

I’m 66 and I had to retire in 2020 because I had cancer. I’m still battling cancer for the third time. I make 1900.00 a month in SS and retirement fees. I have to pay over 200.00 a month for part B and supplemental insurance. Thank God I own my home, but I pay property tax and insurance fees. Needless to say, I am deeply in debt to credit cards. The saddest part of this is that after all my issues, I know there are people worse off than me. America does not take care of their neediest citizens.😢

A bridge was struck by a LARGE commercial vessel and caused operations to halt at a MAJOR East Coast port (Container Port, I believe) and so... This should, honestly be prioritized over "studying the mating habits of Peruvian FROGS"; for example; in MY humble opinion! (I'm not 100% sure, that bridge is "AT Baltimore"; but, it's "in that neck'o the woods"; so to speak.
