That wooden mystery object that was donated looks like a clamp of some kind. Clearly the lever flips up and the arm comes down. I would say it’s logging equipment or some kind of carpentry. Maybe a brace for fixing large pieces of wood together at a 90deg angle for framing.

I am not certain but I my guess on the object is that it came from a shoe maker for leather forming. I also seen someone mentioned for making linen out of flax and that makes sense also a cider press and I can see that being true also but seems to be missing something if it is a press.
