Great video, as always, but what about Lake Springfield??? I have very fond memories of taking the grandkids there when they were little, and drowning innumerable worms. We never caught any fish, but we sure did have a lot of fun and made lots of memories together. The worms were less enthusiastic than we were. On one occasion, we saw a water moccasin swimming, head held high, swimming in the lake near the fishing area. I don't recall if it was on the same worm-drowning expedition, but I think it was, when I took my youngest grandson, and he was very intent on catching a fish, and growing increasingly frustrated that we weren't. I hugged him, and told him not to worry, we were there, not necessarily to actually catch a fish, but to be together, have fun, and get out of whatever chores grandma had for us. I assured him that we WERE going to have supper that night, regardless of whether or not we caught any fish! That seemed to calm him down. Here, we live near a pathetic excuse of a wanabe lake, Morse "Lake". Not too far away is Geist Lake which is considerably bigger, but even it pales in comparison to the lakes you mentioned. I think it's about the size of Lake Springfield, but I could be mistaken on that. Can you tell I really miss the Ozarks?

Honestly Lake Springfield is always going to be special. Unfortunately it's not one of the BIGGEST though 😂 And how can I NOT know you miss it here!!! Honestly I love hearing your stories. Haha! We're a fan of the same thing. 😄

Good vid Jesse. Being from Michigan I know a little bit about lakes! Unfortunately we also have a lot of snow. We are planning to head down your way for a month next winter. Hoping we can chat then!

That's right.... Michigan would know a LOT of about real lakes 😂 you're always welcome to stop by our office!

Bull Shoals is hands down the best of the larger lakes in MO (Although technically much of it is in Arkansas). Least crowded (almost no houses can be built at the shoreline and there are almost no multistory or multiunits housing on the lake) , clearest water (some scuba diving activity there) and is arguably the best fishing of these lakes. Tablerock is good except as you get near Branson

I'm glad you agree.... one of the BEST. 🤩 Tourism can get bad in Branson! So I don't blame you for that one 😂

Outrageously good aerial photography! You missed Pomme De Terre (muskie &crappie), Taneycomo (trout&smallmouth) and Norfolk, which is drysuit cold but below the silt layer you have 50 to 100 feet of visibility. BTW, very few species of fish go below the littoral zone, basically the depth sunlight reaches. In our impoundments that is mostly around 30 to 50 feet. Below that there is not much to eat. The nice thing: a deep lake turns over slower in the Fall so the fishing season not only lasts longer, but if you are hardcore you can catch bass on Christmas Day. Agree about Bull Shoals being best fishing lake. But it is haunted. Next to Reelfoot, it is the spookiest lake I've ever fished.

There were so many good places for lakes, honestly I'm surprised these didn't make them, they are some incredible lakes! We did try to choose them based off the biggest ones around. Else this would have been a 30 minute video 😂 I didn't know that about fish only being about 30-50 ft deep, but it makes sense. I'm sure the clearer the water the deeper sunlight can go too. If they don't see they wont be there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@wiserlivingrealty spot on about the clarity. Are you marketing to the coasts? I think I'd spend a few bucks approaching the affluent in LA, Miami, and Boston. Just exploratory to see what's there. It may be a year early for that. Do you know about the Hemings Catalog for rare auto parts? An Ad mentioning the Cruise could go there.

Honestly, we aren't necessarily marketing to them! All of this is just for anyone who is looking for Springfield on RU-vid so it's all how the algorithm finds them. 😂 We've noticed quite a few from the coasts but really we get people from all around. I am not familiar with the magazine either!

@@wiserlivingrealty Is it worth investing more money in the follow-up? IF you decide you wanna chase owner/occupant renovators, I might renew my agent's license. Maybe, If I had to. Much prefer bird doggin off the books. Pls Google Hemmings Motor News. People with Hot Rods have money for houses in your neighborhoods.
