Okay guys here's the deal. They introduced Elite Raids and they flopped. Then they introduced Shadow Raids and those were a flop as well. And now we have Dynamax which is nothing but slightly altered elite/shadow raids with a useless gimmick (do dynamax so you can do more dynamax). So yes, it is a huge scam.
I drove an hour to the nearest big city. I took two friends with me, one was a newbie, the other wasn’t prepared, she didn’t have anything evolved, powered up, and she didn’t even have 200mp. I didn’t find that out until we starting to join a raid. We went to a park and joined up with 14 others. When we weren’t enough to take down a venusaur the other 14 decided to just leave. For the rest of the day I was online trying to get others together and no one could agree on a place to meet. Some people were on the east or west side of town and refusing to drive to the other side. Eventually my friends and I had to make the drive back with nothing to show for it. Some of the people from the park wanted to try again on Sunday morning but one of my friends and I both work on Sundays so that’s out. I’m very frustrated with this new aspect of the game. Huge waste of time and gas.
I'm not trying to be an a****** or nothing but you should have verified with your friend the power of her team... Yes this whole thing is absolute nonsense I agree and I get it But My argument is trying to throw their strongest b******* at us The least you can do is prepare before you come... it's insane to bring a friend without even asking or acknowledging what their power of their Dynamax Pokemon are... is this something that everybody should be able to jump into and just get? That's not for me to decide butt Niantic is decided for us right? We've been over this for weeks months and in my case even years discussing how difficulties are going to be. No I'm not on Niantic side but at the same time we have to acknowledge that these things were going to be difficult to begin with. What's extremely frustrating to me is the fact that I put out so much information and details yet everybody just wants to skim over it in the first minute and then just say oh they understand bye.. now do you understand how you should stay and watch and listen to people before you hop into some nonsense and or drive several miles? I'm not trying to be an a******. I'm just trying to bring you common sense
@@TheXCrazZYeah but you have to understand where he is coming from, I mean like the persons friend from the original comment didn’t even have enough MP to join the raid in the first place so like what did they actually expect?
Just a reminder, Mega pokemon were waste of time from the start, they became useful later when they make them more cheap to evolve. It is possible that they make dynamax and gigantamax more affordable and more useful at later update... But my main complain is about not able to use your old pokemon for this. There is no lore reason for this.
Well, that's the problem. They launched it as a fully monetized feature prior to realistic balancing. The fact such parallel issues have occured while the company asks for more player cash than ever is just gross business.
@@kritorys514 the answer is simple, just dont invest money to the events which you dont agree. Niantic showed from the start that they dont care about the player base in any way.
@@Dom_P1people pay for more mp since with the cap you’re most likely only doing 2 or just 1 a day. If people are chasing shinies or hundos they buy more mp. If nobody is doing them because it’s too tough to get groups or too much of a money sink to chase, then yes they won’t make money and tune them down.
I was in disbelief when I realized they could run away. The fact they're potentially wasting the single most desirable reward, and charge remote raid prices for particle pack... even Nintendo is over in the corner taking notes how to screw players. It's as player unfriendly as the mega launch; nothing was learned.
Yes, powering up max would be great. I have 2 level 50 perfect hundos, but expecting 20 other people to do the same is a big ask. It was difficult enough to get the people there. Plus, I was in a team of my own (number 21 out of 21 trainers). I fainted very quickly, and spent the rest of the battle bored and salty. Never before have I hated this game, until yesterday. I soldered through for 2 years and accepted the downtime and lulls, but this event was truly humbling and ever-so frustrating.
This whole system makes no sense. In the main series games, any Pokémon can Dynamax and any pokemon can battle a Dynamax pokemon. If you don’t like that idea, then let us send out a raid signal and anyone in a certain Mike radius can join. These things are supposed to be huge so it makes no sense that everyone has to be on the same block
So they implement a feature where you have to spend at least 2 m stardust to level up pokemon that are not even in the rotation for catch....why would you release a feature with new giga pokemons and not put the mentioned pokemon in rotation to catch them I started 2 months ago so i dont have 10k candy for each pokemon from giga raids...i cant even power up the pokenon for giga raid because we have this useless halloween pokemon rotation that will last longer then giga raid...overall good job niantic with this event 😂
So I run 2 accounts (only have one device) and I was 6/6 yesterday because I was lucky and came prepared, there was a community meetup through Niantic's campfire and over 100 people showed up, many with multiple phones. We had more than enough help and plenty of times we had the full 40 people in raids. On top of that, there was a free promo code in my group to get 800 free MP particles. I only have 1 major standout issue which I see nobody talking about - why the f*** would Niantic release 3 GMax Pokemon for a single weekend? I really do not understand how badly they f***ed this up. Trying to coordinate 40 people on 3 unique raids where people had limited resources (MP) and weak non-powered-up Pokemon is a nightmare. People don't remember this, but Niantic did the exact same thing with the Megas launch a few years ago and a lot of people missed out because of poor coordination (myself included back then). This weekend's event should only have been 1 GMax, with the others spaced out on other weekends. On top of that, Niantic could've ironically done the elite raid system with this setup with designated times for raids.
Good points. Really need to give us more max particles to do these G Max raids. I did enjoy them too had one run which yep after nearly an hour of our group trying we finally beat it and it runs! Ridiculous. People had 3weeks to to Dyna max battles and build up those Pokemon to be ready but you are right most people didn’t get ready.
The feature needs to grow. Firstly we need to be able to hold more MP. we had a group of 25 and unfortunately could only do 3 because once the MP ran out it cost money. Not everyone is pay to play but at least let us hold enough dust for 2. Hopefully the feature gets better over time like i heard Megas did but for a proof of concept it was decent. I don't necessarily agree that the top content of the game should only be beaten by people fortunate enough to live in certain places but that could be easily fixed by offering let's say 1 or 2 remote invites per person. Yes you need a decent size to go out but you don't need literally everyone to be in person available.
2 things I’d like to mention. 1. Seems like teams are decided on when you join the lobby , so the first 4 that join the lobby are grouped up & so on. Also if you’re lets says a team of 2 or 3 and ready up , your team won’t get another member bc it closed hour team off. 2. Some of these gameplays you’re showing have tier 4 dynamax den raid damage bonus’s. I lost with a group of 26 & we got Venusaur into the red everytime. The Raid den only have 1 out of 4 damage bonus’s.
I had a huge group of 40. Most of them were a breeze but charizard was next level. Every attsck one hit knocked out our pokemon out. We barely won with 6 remaining players at the end. This is ridiculous. And cause of the cost none of my group want to long trains like we did with the regular raids
Be better to reduce the cost to 50 coins make friends, damage bonus increase balls then make the 50 cost double those balls so could go over 20 also paying 200 coins don't give better cp or shiny rate tested 9 timed not shiny and all bad cps you cannot even see the cp at the end of battle to know if it worth spending the coins for extra balls for a good cp.
One more thing about bad timing: with the wild area event venusaur will learn frenzy plant for free, and with december cday charizard, blasotise and metagr9ss will learn their legacy move too. I got a 98 beldum and a 98 charmander, powered up their dmax moves, but im not evolving them until the cday because i want blast burn and meteor mash on them. If this came out on january it would have been easier
This should be helpful today: Here's what I discovered: it is utilizing a traditional raiding mechanic. Suggest groups: 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps. Groups are created as you enter (and can’t be adjusted once you enter), so determine who is healing/tanking ahead of time so THAT group of 4 enters at the same time (instruct others not to enter until group 1 is done..then go to 2, etc). Suggested group of 4: 1 Metagross, 1 healer (of appropriate counter) and 2 x dps (of appropriate counter). You can view which group you’re in by clicking the group info right above the “ready” button. Healing. You only heal yourself and the people in YOUR group ONLY. As you get into the Dynamax ability screen, you will see your group at the top and what moves they're doing...if you're a healer, notice what health bars are at....everyone full, do a dps move. Tanking. Certain Pokemon are getting taunts, such as non evolved Pokemon, Falinks and Metagross. Tanks should maintain 3 shields (3 is max)..if they have 3, do a dps move. Only tanks need to shield. My Intellion used no shields, no one in the group used a shield...and he didn't take any damage for 3 meter fills (the tank took the damage). Suggestion: 3 Metagross DPS. Just DPS, let the healers heal and tanks shield.
the only getting 1000 free mp a day before having to purchase more is kinda like getting 1 free raid pass a day. isn’t that pretty much the same thing?
Spending Stardust and candy on a Pokémon that can’t Gmax (But has a GMax form) may not be the end of the world, in the main games there is a way to give a Pokémon a GMax mark with Max Mushrooms, wether Niantic will add this feature I’m not sure. But there is a chance that if you got a normal Dynamax Charizard that’s 100% you can make it GMax in the future. But besides that most of these are fair concerns about the current state of GMax Battles.
I guess if there was some timed research so you can get one of each as a head start, that would have helped! At least every player would have 1 decent counter for each boss.
At some point they kept breaking out if the balls after one shake 5+ times in a row, then fled. I had golden raz and nothing but excellent throws. That seems like a bug to me.
I spent money on particles . I spend so much dust on dynamax mons. I wasted an elite tm for frenzy plant. On top of that, 2 of finished raids the mons flew
The community that i have in my area decided we werent going to do gigantamax raids. Mainly these ones as there aint s*** to use. You got 11 mons basically to battle against raids of mega Rayquaza toughness. Now i personally believe when drilbur comes to go for that one hour on November 18th and then toxtricity is that nextw weekend, if people cant beat ut with rhe excadrill, theres a series problem
I wasn’t able to do a single one, none of my friends were for that matter. Imagine Eternatus? Foolish move by Niantic. 90% of people will NOT be able to do these. Remote rading should have been a thing
Drove an hour to a bigger city to do the gmax raids and was disappointed had mons maxed as well as friends maxed on moves and still couldn’t take down charizard with 23 people. Way too difficult! Spent 2 hours trying to get just one with no success.
Me and my son are extra super prepared with our Pokémon powered up to the max , evolved we drove to what we thought it was a popular spot and simply put the was not enough people only 4. It was disappointing , we are trying again today let us know in the Miami Beach area 🙏🏻
Don't understand why he would complain about giganamax raids and then spend money to buy more mp packs to participate in the raids. Just boycott these raids to send Niantic a message.
Its kinda stopping new players full stop. Anyone that's picking up the game today for this event might aswell just uninstall the app. 1000mp isn't enough. You need to use so much to upgrade the moves, lower level player don't get xl candy so can't even max upgrade the moves. Someone starting today wouldn't be able to make a team for fully upgraded pokemon, on a free to play. Why anyone at this point is putting money into this is beyond me. There's not even a pokedex for them lol! Not a medal, not a use outside of this. I can ive without and will because im rural. If I lived in a city i'd go do 1 a day for free.
You named exactly the reason why I didn't participate: I only have very few low IV Dynamax Pokémon and I refuse to power them up unless it's over 90%. I live in a really small town. Sorry, but whatever they are doing only works in huge cities with big player bases.
I pretty much gave up maxing anything to level 50 or level 3 moves. XL Candy is a pain to collect and rare xl candy drops so infrequently. Make it 10 candies to make an xl candy... or 25... WHY IS IT ONE HUNDRED?!?!?
I think what would make gigantimax fights really fun is not needing other people but difficulty scaling like say your playing solo it’s still going to be hard but do able and say you got 2 of your friends you can like give the boss more hp and reduce its damage so it’s fair, having to meet a set requirement for trainers doesn’t feel like a fight it just feels like you need a certain amount Of players to unlock that Pokémon, plus they need to incorporate dynamax into like pvp or some shii having them only in these battles is useless
This could have been okay if they 1) delayed the realease of this 2) had more interesting 3* battles in the mean time. 3) made this a raid hour so organized groups is easier. If they did this I wouldn't be that mad about it.
good for you poke AK that you enjoyed this event, but a lot of people are also been banned for no reason during the gigantamax raids, not sure if you heard about it. lol, and also this shitty event is just insane. i cant fully comprehend the 800 max particles.. super expensive with 1000 max particles LIMIT. this game really forces you to SPEND. i think this gigantamax are for people who dont have problem in spending. its like they dont have a problem burning money. i did enjoy raiding dynamax, BUT i find myself not enjoying gigantamax because of the max particles limit and how expensive it is and not only that you need at least 20-30 people to successfully defeat this thing, and you are not even sure if those people you raid with have a good pokemons with them. you enjoyed this because you are with people who have strong pokemons and are ready to battle.
Time and prep imo seem to be the biggest issues. IM NOT DENYING difficulty at all but it seems like majority were not prepped and felt they didn’t have time to prep. Outside of that… the most important is appeal/interest imo . Can’t expect a portion of the player base to be hype about a new system that’s coming off as a money grab in general ORRRR just seems boring to some. GGs and good luck to all
Yeah I wasted so much stardust and candy on d-max Pokemon with bad iv’s. Now I got do the same thing with G-max Pokemon. I’m going to end up with 4 level 50 best buddy Charizards. It’s getting tiring to say the least!
For the people saying that we should be able to convert normal mon into dynamax… Think about it if they did it nobody was gonna raid the dynamax mons nd dynamax would have become another insignificant addition to the game…i mean powering up sucks it would have been better if they had given some easier nd different methods to power up dynamax mons…but they wanna make this game go for ages so they are going according to their mentality Hope u leave ur views Ak
I need a pro video cuz so far I see none and only negatives Are they not elite raids?!? It’s just the same thing actually it’s worse cuz there are soooo many of them who know where to just show up at least with elite raids I know where everyone would be cuz there was one or two per town. I felt left out of enamourous elite raids but at this point I’m okay not having done these
Gmax raids can definitely be made at least a little easier, but once people start spending their resources and using the best strategies it’ll be a much easier time
So 1 million dust 1000+candies 20 pros to 45newbs and maybe get a useless Pokemon if it doesn't run? 😂 Im 8 months into pg and it's only been down hill since I started. I started right before the characters changed and it all has been negative so far, if i didn't love Pokemon in general I wouldn't touch this game if it was the only game in existence
10:39 ur investing into a closed loop system the only reason to do these is to do more of these and if you don this these now why would you want to invest into this system more??
Believe me. I have 4 maxout (max all moves and levels) pokes. It is hard to find people to raid with in my area. Big city folks can just use their pokes (with little work done) cuz they have the numbers.
Appreciate the tips poke, and im glad you did well. Its still not for me, after my 2 attemps yesterday. Found it more anoying than challenging. Saving my stardust and xl for my normal mon. Will do 1☆ dyna raids for xl candy but thats it. Dyna/Giga isnt for me
Lets just agree people who play casually like myself will not beat these, for a long while yet, i literally just got back into the game, had enough to evolve and power up one of each type of dynamax mon, but your looking at like millions of dust hundreds of candy, its a feature for the content creators or people who have been playing for years cuz lets be real casuals never have stardust, or candys let alone xl candy, il just be happy when i can take down a falinks😂
It’s sad AK had to put out a negative video to feed the winy babies because he put out a positive video before this. I get that negative content does better but the more we spread negativity the more toxic the community gets. I really only check online for updates because everything else is posts complaining about literally everything. There was a group complaining about Max Mondays. Not because they think it should be different, they just think it’s pointless. Yes criticize actual issues but when the community complains about everything it just makes everyone sound like entitled babies and takes away from the valid critiques.
I really loved the GMax cost me a load of dust but it was worth it can’t wait for more + I really think it could be done with 4 trainers with the right mons and moves
You really had to grind your Dynamax Pokemon to put in decent help. If you didn’t best you can do is cheer. I used an alt account just to cheer and get a Gmax Pokemon. Win Win.
For two days i only manage to catch one of each gigantamax pokemon Not easy to beat them Need more than 30 trainers Not a lot of people raiding maybe they know is hard to beat them 😅
It was much easier to defeat in Cambridge,Ma. We had around like 60-80 folks for the majority, however glitches kicked me out, and they were hard to catch from the get go! Also it was easier to catch when I bought particles, and doubled the prizes. Yeah this was a hot mess!!! Felt bad for my rural friends. Also THE MAIN PROBLEM EVEN WITH ENOUGH FOLKS IS, the app glitched and made it hard to find certain gyms and also kicked you out when your lobby became full. It literally was a roulette event.
@@justsavagegaming4966 i m at lvl48 can u believe 😞 i have 6 shundos 100++ hundos but i spoof form my other account later i trade them in my main account niantic just think about how to get more players to play hours of game
