Hey guys!!! We are BACK making Street Food Tour videos for YOU!!! Please leave me a comment down below, I hope you enjoy the videos! Things are opening up in Malaysia and we are able to eat outside again after 3 months indoors! It feels great! What was your favourite food in this video??? I loved them all!!! I hope you're doing well and safe!!
I'm Singaporean yet Malaysia have the best food chain around. Malaysian are super friendly and hospitable, but the best thing about Malaysia not found anywhere here in Asia are the old world and modern world coexistence side by side with perfect harmony. Anyone can get old style cooking, in old 60s era buildings in modern atmosphere. Imagine a cuppa old style brewing coffee, roast bread with 2 half boiled eggs over looking the majestic high-rises buildings.. What a wonderful life it is
I'm malaysian and i do really hope that malaysia preserve its unique nature and traditional style such as clothing, food, infrastructure and values such as "gotong royong"
@@mabeldelrey7741 Nasi means rice, and lemak literally means oily/fatty but it's not as gross as it sounds though; a more apt translation would be (IMO) creamy rice - the creaminess/richness comes from the coconut milk that the rice was cooked in. :)
Agree!!! Its very awesome to see people take time to learn language and cultures from different country. I think everybody should do this whenever and wherever they go.
Malaysia was my second home growing up as a child and now I'm watching Trevor eat all these yummy dishes from Norway! Looking forward to more street food like from the pasar malam.
he's so awkward but in the sweetest and best way. he makes such an effort to learn the language and be incredibly kind to the people making his food. love it!!!
Hi, I has been watching your RU-vid a few years. I am Malaysian Chinese living in Toronto. This video make me feel so hungry especially the curry Mee. I miss Malaysian food so much.
Do you guys usually crossing border for a vacation or just to buy stuff and eat in malaysia? I've been to the immigration center at Johor-singapore border twice and it was a nightmare of waiting.
@@muhdyusuf24 we crossed the border to eat, shop, top up gas and for holiday. We have an app that monitors the traffic condition so we can plan our journey there without waiting for hours.
@@Nasilah87 I believed average singaporean would rather crossing border for the cheap stuff? If indonesia is accessible by land, we would've done the same I guess. Malaysia is cheap for foreigners and some of them even got free eggs lol but not for malaysian. 3 stuffs (food) I bought also costs RM30 or more.
Malaysia has the best food, hands down. Nothing compares to food back home 🇲🇾 and yes we are hospitable, our first greeting before anything else would be; "dah makan?" Or have you eaten yet?" 🤤 Awesome vid!
But he really picks up languages very fast. What I really admire about Trevor is that he does not hesitate to talk in the local's language. I'm Chinese and while I have no issue understanding Mandarin, I can't speak it well; I would've clamped my mouth shut than to try talking in broken Mandarin lololol (not that his Mandarin is broken)
Malay an amazing place the street food delicious like Philippine food ..I’m hungry I want to eat omelette egg with rice ..keep safe to your tour ..keep on blogging watching from Riyadh Saudi Arabia
Great videos - Lived in Malaya 1950's, British Army child. Never saw any food like this but looks fantastic. Really missed out on my stay there when I see these foods. Keep em coming.
Trevor, such an amazing episode. I like the way you genuinely reacts to the food while they are being cooked. You are a true foodie. I think Malaysia and other countries in Southeast Asia handled covid-19 very well.
I'm an Iranian that live in Malaysia and I'm big fan of your videos, and I would like to suggest you Shisha lounge restaurant which is located at Solaris Montkiara Kuala Lumpur, u gonna like the food.
You are freaking awesome! You make the effort to learn the languages and you are just so respectful of the different cultures. The world needs more people like you!
So glad to see you guys back. You are awesome. Thanks for sharing and doing what you do. In this day and time so nice to see people enjoy life through food. God is Good
Street food is the best!! I feel that I learn a lot more about the culture when I leant about the street food. Thanks for continuing to make these videos for us, love it so much!!💖🥰🥰🥰
How many times have you gotten ill from street food? Just wondering as street food looks slightly dangerous. Doesn't take much for something to get in there and make a person sick.

Hey Trevor, great introduction to Malaysia's most underrated durian. The kampung durian!! I prefer kampung durians cause of the complex flavours that it has over all the clones, and every durian tastes different, some amazing, some not so, like a surprise box, you never know what you gonna get. What I noticed from the video I feel, was not a representation of a good kampung durian, as the ripeness of the durian has already passed its prime, where the flesh has already become watery and soft. The part of the shell where the flesh sticks to has turned grey and soft. Floral scents of the durian would have been replaced with stronger smelling aromas. However everyone has their own way of enjoying durian, at every stage of its ripeness after the fruit falls from the tree. While what I think is to be the perfect ripeness, some might consider it to be under ripe. Would like to see you make a video about malaysian kampung durians and maybe wild jungle durians now that you're here in Malaysia. It's very rare to find good kampung durians and even more rare to find the wild durian varieties, which tastes absolutely mind blowing. So my question to you, pardon the rant, how do you like your durians?
Jiwa kacau maksudnya jiwa tak tenteram & perasaan yang huru-hara..contohnya bila putus cinta. dia mungkin sengaja letak nama tu pada makanan tu sebab makanan tu mix banyak bahan2 rupa dia macam huru-hara macam tu 😆. Orang melayu selalu guna perkataan jiwa kacau kalau hati sedang kacau bilau. Orang yang jiwa kacau sesuai la makan roti tu hehe...sambil layan perasaaan
Wow, thank you for another great presentation of amazing street foods!! Sure makes me miss Kuala Lumpur, heaps! ... can't wait for international travel to resume, like yesterday!

When you accidentally clicked on the video because it was in ur recommendation tab but decided to stay to watch it but you immediately regret it because you are in Malaysia but it's MCO 2.0 and you can't go for a food hunt... yeaa i'm craving

Hi There, Served with the RAAF in Malaysia and lived on Penang 89/90. Loved the food the people the smells and all the bartering. At 18:39 saw the RAAF aircraft emblem on the old mans shirt. I bet there is a story there . Get hungry just watching all that food. Biggest regret was not trying the durian.
The curry noodle really deserves his 10 rating. The asam laksa is divine too! Serves with crunchy keropok. My fav place for the 2 laksa. Boss is from penang.
