Jeremiah once you get a pallet fork you wished you would have known sooner. They save so much time and are a multi-functional attachment. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
You should just totally "Scrap" those "bucket add on" rinky-dinky dangerous Excuse of a "certified pallet fork system ". Your "LIFE & others" is worth the 500-900$ INVESTMENT. After all"Mr. Tony" said it ALL.
Very nice video and explanations. I have a BX with minimal lift capacity. I just traded down to LandPride 1242 forks, which are the best branded match. They are lift rated for 1200#, and are 42” long. They have the upper guard, and weigh 220#, which is the main feature.
Craig, looks like you did your homework. Most people just look for "Heavy Duty" which typically means 400-500 Lbs pallet forks. Though your BX is probably rated for 36" forks your smart in getting the 42". In my opinion they are more versatile. Thanks for watching and commenting TCT
First video of yours that I've seen. Very well done. Watched it on TV and actually took the time to find it on the computer so I could write this comment. Thank you much, sir.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking the time to watch it on big screen, I know what a pain it is to input with the remote. Check out some of my other tractor videos. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT
Good review Tony. You made a very valid point with the heavy duty equipment on the compact tractor. Any weight saved on the attachment makes for more lifting capacity. Especially when lifting totes of "wet" wood!
Frances I learned quick I needed the lightest and strongest pallet forks out there even if I had to pay a premium. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Thanks for the great review, Tony! I will have to check into these attachments for both my compact and John Deere tractors. Take care and have a great week!
Steve don’t get me wrong I love my Wicked 55 Everything Attachment pallet forks but wish I would have known about the Artillian system with the 2” receiver and chain slots. Definitely the way to go even if you don’t buy any other Artillian attachments. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Very well done presentation today. Well thought out, Nice audio and lighting as well. And you are getting the camera distance much better than before. All this makes a big difference learning about the different topics you choose. Congratulations on the progress you've made , especially the attention to production detail.
I have an Everything Attachments 42” Hardox tine fork on my JD 1025R. Most used attachment for sure. I made a 4’ x 4’ log & chainsaw carrier to shag cut wood to my splitting area that fits the fork.
A word of advice when buying pallet forks. I would (and did) buy pallet forks that far exceed the lifting capacity of whatever your FEL is on your tractor. My tractor's lift capacity is about 3,400lbs. So, I got a set of Erskine pallet forks rated to lift 5K. Because often times, when I'm moving something suspended by a strap or chain, I'm only using a single fork, not both, and if you lift something heavy with just a single fork, if your forks aren't rated for more than your tractor's lifting capacity, it's very easy to "tweak" that one fork.
Jeff I’ve never tried that, I always used both forks when lifting. I just move slightly off to the left or right of where the slot is to remove the pallet forks. That’s why I like the Artillian fork frame with chain slots. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
I have the clamp-on forks currently and I've been looking to upgrade to a set of pallet forks, this was helpful info in my research. Have a good one Tony!
Love my pallet forks. Just used them this morning to move a treetop that came down in a storm. I had it moved and on the burn pile in less time than it would have taken to put the grapple on the tractor
James I can’t tell you in a day how many times I’m switching loader attachments. My pallet forks are on my tractor 85% of the time. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@@TonysCoolTools same. I only put the grapple on when I know I have a lot of work to do with it. It’s a pleasure to use on the DK4210SE. I’m amazed what it’ll lift
I would agree on forks.. my Dad's tractor came with them an and before we knew of others attachments these forks and loader bucket were and still is his best attachments
Daniel I was luck to always have a set of forks whether bolt on or SSQA. It’s the most used attachment out there. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Thanks- I love the idea of the trolley for moving implements around on-it so happens that I have a set of casters just like that and some 3x3 timber - I am going to knock up one of those
Good morning Tony . I could not own a tractor without pallet forks . As you explained . Always buy the right ones matched for your lifting capacity . Too many times I have seen way too heavy pallet forks used . Pay the money and buy good strong and quality forks matched too your tractor 👍👍👍🇨🇦
Stephen, I agree with you 100%. Pallet forks are truly a multi functional attachment every tractor and skid steer owner should have. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
TITAN is pretty much bottom of barrel but a few years back they offered an american made fork 4000 lbs . they may still offer it. i will look at model i am moving logs w FRANSGARD sk-950 log grapple. its similar design to FROSTBITE but made with 420 HARDOX and better welds also said MADE IN Sweden ya it was a few bucks more but i smile every time i use it. buy once cry once! i started crying in the 80s with STRAP-ON ! i still smile when i use those fine tools.
Rikki thanks for sharing, I had to look up the Fransgard SK-950 because I’ve never heard of the brand. It definitely looks well made and typically any of the European logging equipment is really HD. Like you I don’t mind spending a little more to get quality. I too smile every time I use my Frostbite grapple. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT
Tony this year has been grapple on the tractor and pallet forks on the skid loader, it’s a good combination. I also have a grapple bucket for my skid loader. As well as a 4 in one and a utility bucket , just like Bert’s.
Ain't gonna lie, I'm currently trying to decide whether to buy a set of those Artillian forks or put gutters on the house. That is a very-well engineered piece of kit.
That’s a tough question. Gutters are extremely important because they can stop water damage from happening to your house foundation. That would be my first choice. However as I’ve stated the pallet forks stay on my tractor 85% of the time and I use them on a daily basis. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Your shows are between a Educational documentary and a Advertisement, always interesting Tony ! Thanks for sharing your wonderful world with all of us!
@@eddiemortontapman7252 Eddie, I believe in RU-vid land it’s referred to as “Edutainment” . I try my best to show tools many people haven’t seen but are extremely useful and multifunctional. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Great video Tony. Have you had issues of adequate spacing options between each fork on these two choices or can you select infinite spacing between the forks when using? Also of note is Everything Attachment is making the news in Carolina with some legal issues so caution new buyers.
Tim, though there are slots or detents where the forks lock into I can slide both forks anywhere along the pallet frame with the exception of directly in the middle where a slot of about 6” is cut out so you can remove the forks if needed. Thanks for sharing info on Everything attachments, I was unaware they were having issues. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT
Jimmie, it all depends if the manufacturer is running a sale or not. The Artillian is more expensive then the Everthing Attachment by about $450-$500. But remember you’re getting the 2” receiver and chain slots on the Artillian and it’s a system if you plan on getting other attachments. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Tony...... please tell me that you had the cylinder lock-sleeve in place before you stood underneath???? Where I work, this is immediate termination, zero questions asked...... Just gotta know, thanks bud.....
Wade, yes though you couldn’t see the lift cylinders I had a metal safety bar installed in case the loader bucket came down. Thanks for pointing that out. Appreciate you watching, commenting and supporting my channel.👍TCT
The newer tractors primarily use two types of quick attach. 1st is the skid steer quick attach which is the most popular. 2nd is the John Deere quick attach which is exclusively for their tractor. There is a 3rd system which is a Euro Quick attach but it’s not that popular in the US. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Stain, that’s a tough question for sure. Thought I don’t own any Husqvarna chain saws if I were to buy one it would be the 572 for sure. I’ve used my friends 572 and really enjoy cutting with it. With that being said I own a MS 460 and have been using it for years on big wood but the problem is it’s heavy. Last year I purchased the MS 462 and can’t believe how enjoyable it is to cut with. The saw I use most is the MS500 but after getting the MS 462 it’s a hard decision which is my favorite the 462 or 500? You can’t go wrong with buying the MS462. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@@stiantnnessen2671 Stian sorry for the delay in getting back to you., I was traveling. " I am extremely happy with the MS462. I use a 24" bar and it seems well balanced for me.👍TCT
@@stiantnnessen2671 well that’s like asking me which one of my daughters I like best😂 They are my top two saws when I’m cutting. However, if you twist my arm I’ll have to say the MS500 is my favorite. There is just something with the fuel injection and the snappy response I really like. I purchased the MS 462 so I could switch out saws when Im cutting a lot. I don’t want to burn out the MS 500. 👍TCT
Tony the issue is you have a pin type loader arm. Companies. Make a conversion plate to change from a fixed loader bucket to a quick attach. They are about $800 to $1000 for the plate. Then you can use anyone’s attachment . Check out or call Everything Attachments and they can walk you through it. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Rikki what I found is most mid-size tractors don’t have the lift capacity for a 4000lb pallet system. Naturally what I look for is the lightest and strongest pallet fork system. I found the Ariillian pallet forks are rated at 3000lbs and only weigh 242 lbs which gives my tractor more lift capacity. I’ll have to check out the United Attachments line of products. Appreciate your info. 👍TCT
Sorry to hear that, service during and after the sale are so important. Thats why I may pay a little more for a piece of equipment but have peace of mind I can get answers when I need them. Thanks for watching and commenting TCT
