Got mine today, exactly as you described, I had pretty significantly heel slip and got a blister from it. Also the instep is very tight and left red marks on top of my feet. I'm a bit frustrated to be honest... How long will it take for them to break in?
It really depends on how often you wear it. I strongly suggest you avoid wearing it out to work or anything right now. I'd say maybe wear it around the house a few hours a day for about a week
I wore my storm kudu loafer barefoot to the train station without breaking them in (smart) and they DESTROYED my feet for about a month afterwards. The hobble back home in particular was horrific. Let me be a cautionary tale to anyone else!
I got dune travel penny loafer during blk friday. Sizing is good but too roomy for me(heel slip). Added Pedag tongue and veg tan/cork insole. Perfect fit now.
I'm the same, the heel slip is really bad, I feel like I'm just sliding out of them. They almost feel like they're too big, but any smaller and I would have no space around the ball of my foot or my toes. Given I have wider feet, I just don't think these shoes are well accommodating for wide footed people. Edit: Have had them for about 2 months now. The heel slip never went away, tried a pedag tongue pad, didn't fix the heel slip and only made the shoes more uncomfortable since it doesn't provide even pressure across the instep, so I removed it.
