Thank you ever so much for wearing Freeway this summer. It's probably the vetiver which is in both this one and Burnt Cedar Rainbow Doves, plus the argument they both have with vanilla. Despite one being set in LA in 2014, and the other in Oxfordshire in 1933, they do have something in common.
Thanks guys! When not wearing my latest favorite Zoologist Sacred Scarab (wonderful), I've been reaching often for Gres Cabochard. It's lovely on a warm evening.
I've been reaching mostly for 4160 Tuesdays what I did on my holidays. Such an uplifting happy fragrance. Citruses I've worn alot of Atelier Des Ors Blanc Polychrome. Evening Andy Tauer ACDD
So thrilled to see your videos! I’ve been watching almost since the beginning and going on this fragrance journey has been really great while watching you guys. My favorite is De Bachmakov by The Different Company, for an amazing freshie experience. I wear anything any time but this one is fantastic. A Celine Ellena composition.
Hello guys! Thank you for your lovely video. Always enjoying! I tried out and wore quite heavy oud-rose fragrance on one of the hottest summer days. And I was nicely surprised how good it felt and behaved. I brought it from Egypt last autumn. It doesn’t really have a name unfortunately. But I asked for oud and it definitely is a good one. 🙌
Yes, I made the correction after we recorded the video! I think they’re actually both still available! Glad you’re enjoying it, and thanks for enabling!
Very much appreciate the vid and recommendations! Love my FMGPM and Nautica Voyage in summer! Just discovered Nicolai brand and have been frequently wearing/enjoying Patchouli Intense. Cheers!
I recently (in the past 2-3 months) got my hands on Chanel's Allure Homme Sport and Allure Homme Édition Blanche. I love these two for summer! I've also just got a sample of MFK's Amyris Homme, the new sample of 724 (MFK) and Aqua Vitae. They're all great for summer too, but my favourite of the MFK samples is Amyris Homme EDT! I can't wait to get the skanky ouds out again. I tried Ombre Nomade by Louis Vuitton today, as a sample. Might need to get a bottle of it! It's basically a rosy version of Nouveau Monde (as it's got that same type of skanky oud). Love it. I also share your love for Tom Ford's London. I picked up a bottle from eBay last month, sealed, for £150 with free delivery. Can't beat that! I have always liked the scent but it took me a whole year to get a bottle. PS: Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle's Monsieur was perfumed by Bruno Jovanovic. I love that scent too and I need to get a bottle of it!
Very nice picks...... Dan n Joe, it's time to start another project with 4160Tuesdays as nothing is seen after Waft from the Loft for few years now. If possible a dominant IRIS one this time
I think it was probably a one of project with Sarah. We absolutely loved the experience, and are very grateful for all the time and effort she gave up, but I suspect she has new projects to move on to.
@@WaftsfromTheLoft I’ve been wearing chypres, vintage greens mostly. Chanel Cristalle (EdT & Eau Verte more than EdP), 31 Rue Cambon, Cabotine de Grès has been a lifesaver, Amazone by Hermes, Jacomo’s Silences, vintage Polo Green, vintage Grey Flannel, Rogue’s Mousse Illuminé & Chypre Siam, vintage Pavarotti, Les Indemodables Escale en Haiti (vetiver scent super refreshing), vintage Quorum in the evenings, K de Krizia in the evenings (No season will keep me from my oakmoss, lol 😂), Agar Aura Al-Arabiya, Shalini Iris Lumière (hyacinth scent), The Zoo Everlasting (narcissus scent). More vintage greens but that list is long enough!
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Oh yes! I have several bottles of vintage Vent Vert and it’s perfect for the heat (for me, we’re all different of course). Great fragrance! 💚
Interesting tidbit about Geranium pour Monsieur and Portrait of a Lady: Supposedly Geranium pour Monsieur's conception acted as a base for Portrait of a Lady. I am guessing this refers to the incense-musk-sandalwood base. I love them both but yet have to get myself a bottle of Geranium pour Monsieur.
I love Pegwell Bay, too, the fresh fennel and the very gentlemanly, classic, timeless fresh-spicy-woody vibe. Are you sure it's all natural? I can hardly believe that, in view of its longevity, and in spite of the fact that the firm's videos make it seem like they take a little stroll every morning and create perfume from what they find. I was happy to hear you exclaim "Yes! That's the fragrance I've been looking for forever!". I've had such a rare moment this summer with Beaufort's Fathom V, another fragrance which I've worn a lot. So grassy-green, so vibrantly energetic and self-confident! (And nothing of a wet grave about it, I wonder why they chose that name.) With regard to your interesting question whether my tastes have changed due to the hot summer: maybe they have, or perhaps that perfume is just so good I couldn't help but buy it - Acqua di Scandola (Parfum d'Empire), the first and only aquatic perfume I can really appreciate. It does capture the smell of the Corsican seaside to an amazing degree and it feels entirely natural.
I really didn’t think they were all natural, until someone recently pointed me to the description on the website haeckels.co.uk/product-category/parfum/
Pomares is no longer a house I consider due to their products lasting only a few minutes and having no projection. I am not performance oriented but they are very expensive and I can hardly detect them after I apply.
They don’t perfume like ‘normal’ perfumes, but when something smells that good I’m happy to re apply. Also, as I say on the video, Venetian Flower is one that I reached for on the really hot days, when I didn’t want anything to persistent or invasive. That said, I completely understand that they are not for everyone, and I’d always suggest people sample, experience and trust their own noses with any expensive fragrances.
I’m sorry you had that experience! There are so many different noses and chemistries out there and I’m sorry it didn’t last for yours. I do not use projectors or synthetics of any kind as I have multiple chemical sensitivity. Also the purpose of the work is also as energy medicine not just as perfume, my goal is to shift the energy of each wearer. That is in part why it’s called Pomares- I’m referencing a different approach to perfume closer to the intent of my Tahitian ancestors where plant medicine and, hands on gathering of plants, honoring family and uplifting the spirit are integral to the use of fragrances So the aldehydes come from my fermentation of the fruit and the whole real ingredients- in part for their energetic properties. My philosophy is that perfume shouldn’t be “louder” smelling than our food or wine. It should work in concert with your body and environment. But yes naturals take more spritzes than synthetics to have the right level of performance. But again not everything is for every nose or everybody.- the perfumer
@@drinkableflowers1432 this approach is glorious to me and now I'm determined to somehow convince you to do a great big perfume swap with me. Just for our own deep joy and comfort? My mother is a Pacific Islander - Tahitian father and Maori mother, and a native-born Norfolk Islander, so we share some uncanny connections. Your work and mine should meet. I've made enough perfume for one lifetime, I'm tired of the critical sniff, now I'd love to enjoy wearing some for pleasure and meeting some of yours for energy exchange and healing. Blessings sister nosey xxx
@@TeoneReinthal OMG a that’s amazing!!!! So cool! What an incredible serendipity! I’ve been dying to smell your things I’ve heard so much about it. Love wearing for perfume for pleasure and uplifted energy- I know what you mean about the critical sniff! Yes let’s do a perfume swap I would be overjoyed!! I’ll message you on Instagram too! Māuruuru!
Curious to hear your thoughts on Prin's latest releases/ re releases/ remastered perfumes. Although more is coming on the upcoming months so I don't mind waiting for a full summary then
Great picks mate! But do you know that acqua di Parma Colonia Club has been replaced by a new Acqua Di Parma Colonia c.l.u.b. which has nothing in common with the original! Shame👎 Cheerio🥂😉
