Coppersmith Hussein, who tries to keep an old Ottoman tradition of Coppersmith alive, continues as the last representative of Herzegovina and Mostar region in Bosnia and Herzegovina around the historical Ottoman bridge Mostar Bridge. Mostar, where Bosniaks are concentrated, is one of the places where bad things happened during the Bosnian war. Mostar Bridge, which collapsed into the Neretva river in 1993, could not withstand the cannon fire of the Croatian army, and was rebuilt in 2004 with the help of the Republic of Turkey. In this video, where I spent time with people from Mostar who lived through the war, especially the coppersmith Hüseyin explains that he expresses himself through copper and his works (especially the coffee pot).
