Yes, it's been a great season for toms here. Hope you do an update on the home garden soon. It was looking marvy the last video....even being brand new.
Eating a BLT with homemade pickles on the side as I type this. Been a great year thus far for many things. Some others failed but that's the game right?
Great update Robin ❤ Wow what a whopper of a tomato they were. Tomatoes coming on great. and so many ripe ones too! That salsa looks delicious 😋 Butternut sqash fabulous too. Your cucumbers are finished and mine have just started producing cucumbers 😂 Wow Sunflowers are coming along great and your other plant challenges/grow alongs. Favourite variety of tomato so far this year is firecracker. Thanks for the mention of my sunflower grow along ❤ x
I didn't think I'd even be in the sunflower running frankly, but the one is pretty tall now. Yes, it's been an amazing tomato year. So far the yellows are our winners...I think. I have a couple types just starting up. Here's hoping the squirrels leave my sunflowers alone until I get a bloom/🥰🤣😍🙂measurement.
Wow you have way more ripe tomatoes 🍅 I have had a few cherry ones it that’s it. Hopefully the pocketbook ones taste good 😊. Salsa looks fantastic Robin great job. You have some wonderful harvests coming fast and furious now. Have a simply awesome week, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦
Hi Robin, what a great harvest! Your garden is at least several weeks ahead of mine. I did buy a few thornless blackberries recently and hope to get some harvest like you do! It's so hard to pick a favorite tomato - the purple heartthrob dwarf is producing very well and the 1st to really start coming in, it will always be on my list.
Oh you are going to love the blackberries. So dependable. I canned some tomato sauce last night. Oh man that was a lot of work, but I can see half the dining room table again LOL. I think I need to try that Purple Heart Throb. I just heard that we're in for a warmer than normal Sept. and Oct. so maybe you'll have time to ripen everything.
Stunning tomatoes! I was thinking about how carefully you handled them, like they were newborn puppies, and then you dropped one. 😉As my area is small and season is short, I've only grown two tomato varieties, one cherry with seeds from a store bought tomato, it's sweet and nice, and a determinate, little red riding hood. It's OK, I wish it had a richer taste. Oh, and then there is a mystery volunteer tomato which I'm not sure will be able to ripen in time. Guess I haven't found my favourite yet. There are so many varieties I'd like to try, I need a large greenhouse in my future home. 😅
Thankfully the drop did not harm the tomato! Half the fun is growing new varieties to see if you find a new favorite. We're totally loving the Dr.Wyche's Yellow and Luicd Gem. BLT's for lunch! Oh I hope you get the greenhouse you want. Maybe a second small one would work in your space and give you more options to move around.
@@RobinGardens I'm actually looking to buy a house with a garden with a friend within the next year. Looking in flat and sunny areas. Some lawn for Leni the dog and a proper greenhouse and beds for me, and all my growing/gardening dreams can come true. 🤩
Quick question Robin… Aji Mango … shouldn’t this be pale orange??? Ali sent me s Ed’s and it’s turned out red like the one you harvested here??? I’m confused
Yup I asked her the same question....very tiny amount of heat unless you eat the seeds which have a kick. Online they are supposed to be an orange shade. Even though mild wear a glove to cut....I didn't and man my hand stung for a day.
