One of the best moments at these dinners was when Craig Ferguson announced he passed the test to be an American. He followed by asking advice on who to vote for. He first asked should I vote Republican and got a smattering of applause. Then asked if he should vote Democrat and got a roaring cheer. He followed with "well I'd say that puts to bed the myth of liberal media bias."
I'm going to actually have to research what sketchy things the president is doing now. It was kinda nice to have it blasted at you, besides the hearing loss side effect.
Pretty good, definitely pretty good John Oliver parody vibes but if you want to make an actual counter to his show you need some long segments of actual issue analysis inbetween jokes and ideally at least 10-15min videos. Keep it up
Don't agree. First be funny. Actually get a following. Then you can detour into long segments. John Oliver did this as part of the Daily Show long before he got his own show. Even as it stands, the editing on this could be sharper and cut out about a minute. Good start though.
John Oliver isn't funny. He couldn't even get a career in Britain going, so he came to America to exploit our collective fetish of English accents and the fact that Americans accept any kind of horseshit coming out of the mouth of the 'exotic foreigner'
I just found y'alls channel yesterday. And Damn. This is what that fn John Oliver hopes for. He will never fill Stewart's shoes. And actually, you would have gave him a headache. ( just so y'all know, I wouldn't even be hear if it wasn't for the fact that I read stossels book so many years ago. He is fuckin awesomeness. And he apparently believes in y'all. So here I fuckin am. 🍻
Bingdrinking and chainsmoking are the most important aspect of all intellectual endavours. So you see why I am an idiot, I barely ever drink and only smoke sometimes.
