I'm 69 years young and never really knew Motorhead. I knew the name but didn't listen to their music until now. Can't believe I didn't know them. Now my favorite band. Damn!! Can't believe I missed this awesome rock and roll band.😢 I'll see you on the other side love you all Bill.
@@inglepropnoosegarm7801 Nicely put bro and I always down cast the trio of Mickey Dee and Phil Campbell as not being the original and I stand by it . However they went on make some great music and the likes of this, Lemmy is struggling even then but they are rally round and help there buddy..........You right Lemmy is always in my glass of Jack and Coke.
The biggest thrill of my life was about 30 years ago playing in my crappy little band in a bar in Columbus, Ohio and in walks Lemmy after a gig Motörhead played at the Agora, now the Newport on N High St. The other band mates talked and had Beers with Lemmy until the club owner got pissed and threatened to fire us if we didn’t get back on stage. Crazy stuff!
Rob Campbell de Motörheadache continue à le dire en hommage à Lemmy, et en plus ils sont très bons...dans le genre "tribute". A voir mais surtout à écouter!
U get all these drummers doing these drum clinics, on utube,,, but playing live is what matters, take this as the finest example drummers, this guy is the business, a total powerhouse , bless him, 🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
kent julnes Jag har jätte många audio only. Jag har många video konserter. Jag har några Pro shot konserter. De flesta är redan uppe på RU-vid men jag kan kolla igenom mina bootlegs på måndag.
Saw Motorhead in a bar in Ottawa around 2005. The experience was a wall of sound, vibrating the entire joint, you could feel it in your chest. Took me 3 days to hear again. Absolute legend.
I seen them in 1987 3 hits of acid right at the stage I was drinking beer with Lemmy but like you said it was a wall of sound I was deaf for like 3 days also
Strange you liked the extreme sound. I seen Overkill band in what was like a bingo hall. They hurt my ears so bad I had to move away from the stage. I don't find pleasure in overly loud. To each his own
i first saw them in a 'little' pub in Perth in 1986 pa was wall to wall floor to ceiling it covered the entire back wall of the pub sound pressure was phnenominal
I feel bad for all the people who won't ever get the chance to see Lemmy/Motorhead live. I feel blessed not to be among them. We lost a a true Rock n Roll soldier.
Motörhead is my favorite band of all time I'm only 22 I never got to see them live nor will I ever it's a pain that will hurt till the day I die all I have are these awesome gigs on RU-vid to enjoy :') Lucky u are indeed.
@@lionelpatoureau5150 same thing happened to me with dio. I had bought a ticket to see maiden and heaven and hell in dublin. I had seen maiden a few times but was really looking forward to seeing dio but unfortunately he died before the concert.
A Hill- So, after 2 years, are you still a Motorheadbanger? Are you enjoying the discovery of each album?... whatever order you are discovering them in? I’m 49, been a fan for a good 25 years, and there’s still a handful of albums I don’t have. I’d say the one I’m coveting the most is Another Perfect Day, the only one with Brian Robertson on guitar. Oh, and then there’s Orgasmatron. And, incredibly, I’ve never heard No Sleep Til Hammersmith, unbelievable for such a long time super fan! On another note, I could listen to/watch interviews of Lemmy all day... no pretension, no “rockstar” answers to questions. And also, Phil Campbell is one of the most underrated hard rock guitarists ever!.... I highly recommend the Lemmy movie/documentary.
Nice....better late than never. I'm 52, and I bought my first Motorhead album in 82 or 83.....it was Ace Of Spades. I've been a huge fan since. There's a couple of cool ep's they did in collaboration with The Damned (Motordamned), Wendy O' Williams of the Plasmatics, and of course the one they did with Girlschool (Headgirl). I'm sure they're posted on here somewhere, and definitely worth a listen. They released a ton of albums, and not a bad one in the bunch. Lemmy was one of rock's great songwriters, having penned a couple of songs for Ozzy (Close My Eyes Forever and Mama I'm Coming Home) and others as well, although I can't think of who at the moment......maybe Alice Cooper? I could be thinking of Alice cause the first time I saw Motorhead was in 88, opening for Alice. I saw them again the same year with Slayer....or was that one in 90. ....my memory is fuzzy after all this time. Last time I saw them was 9 or 10 years ago, at a festival known as Heavy Montreal, and once again, they delivered the goods, as always. Anyway, didn't intend on writing a book here....enjoy discovering Motorhead......I sure did. You've had a couple of years now, hopefully you've started checking out some of their albums. Cheers!
@@bradss1000 You definitely need to get No Sleep Til Hammersmith.....one of the great live albums of the era....if not ever. I'm sure it's posted here somewhere, so you can at least listen to it, but I definitely recommend picking it up. I think, if memory serves me correctly, that might have been my 2nd Motorhead album.....was either that one or No Remorse. Oh yeah....could have also been What's Words Worth, an earlier live album recorded at The Roundhouse in London....so one of those 3 were my 2nd. I also remember buying Iron Fist when it came out....I never understood why people didn't like that one as much.....it's still one of my favorites. They're all great though.
@@hashysh13 I was late. Bought my firsts in 88. I have to admit I made a Mötorpause after the 1916 album. I came back in 1997 with Overnight Sensation. First show wasn`t until the Hammered tour (what a pitty). Since then around 14 gigs.

THE ONLY ROCK BAND IN HISTORY TO NEVER HAVE SOLD OUT AND I DON'T MEAN TICKETS THEY STAYED TRUE TO THEIR SOUND AND THEIR FANS AND ROCK AND ROLL THEIR ENTIRE EXISTENCE UNLIKE EVERYONE ELSE. REST IN PEACE MOTORHEAD THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ROCK BAND LIKE YOU
@@mcraft2240 rock band sex pistols are good I am not sure they were a rock band but were only a band for less than a decade not enough staying power i mean the world changed radically during motorheads run but they never did
Pure metal with ball’s and grit . Always loved Lemmy’s attitude nothing fake about him never a sell out still rocked until he left this world. Thank you Lemmy
Like a lightning bolt straight from hell, this has to be the ultimate sound of blackened raw, edgy rock n' roll! There will never be another Lemmy but like he said "We are Motörhead and never forget us!". We definitely won't. Merry Yule!!
"We are Motorhead. And we play rock and roll." The statement has as few words as can be used to convey the message. Totally undiluted. Followed by a concert that is every bit as pure and undiluted as the statement. I love all kinds of music but Motorhead has a sound I had been looking for from the first time, at about 10 years old, I heard aggressive rock and roll and was swept away. Thank you, Lemmy, Phil, Mickey, and all those who came before Phil and Mickey. What a phenomenon!
I’m 50 this week and feel privileged to have seen this band many times live. Sadly not the original 3 piece bit too young for that but saw them with Phil Taylor on drums,Worzel and Phil on guitar in Middlesbrough way back around 1984. My first concert and my first band love. Still special to this day. Awesome band! We are Motörhead, we play Rock and Roll. ❤️
I'm 49. I've been to six shows. Like you, I didn't get to see his first formation. But I seem to remember that it was in 1993 when I saw Philty, Cambell, Würcel and Lemmy
You must have seen them on the same tour as me. I saw them in November 1984 (also, first time) in Margate, Kent. I was just 14. Many years later I saw them in Newcastle (Australia), both great shows!
yeah ! le meilleur groupe du monde en tournée en France ! Et encore une superbe prestation, Mikkey Dee. énorme, Phil au top et Lemmy = Lemmy. R.I.P. Lemmy.
Lemmy une légende du rock ne sera jamai égalé . Il était unique derrière sa voi et son air de dure était un gars super humble coolll ils nous manquent heureusement il nous a laissé une grande oeuvre rock . Repose en paix lemmy .
Roger fukin That!!!! Saw them in Germany for the 1st time. 3 fukin things I noticed straight away. (1. Loud (2.louder (3.loudest. No comparison,! Full tilt all the way No sappy "Bic" lighter tunes. This is a a stretch but reminds me Early Ted Nugent!?
Man... Lemmy, Wizzo and Mikkey are a machine. Love the inclusion of I Got Mine and the classy respect with Rosalie. Holy shit...What a great performance. Thank you for posting this:)
Everyone should have seen motorhead at least once in their life I'm glad I seen them a few times over the years They were a band like no other A unique experience
I was there, I have to admit I was not a fan before that but that day changed that. Awesome concert, awesome sound. Biggest wall of sound I ever saw. Marshall FTW !
I saw Motorhead as a punk teen and had no idea who they were. They were so damn LOUD I had a splitting headache. Dumb ass me had no idea what greatness I was watching!
I have bee lucky enough over the years to see Motorhead with all the major players. To me these 3 seem to bring it the best. I liked the Wurzel, Campbell era with Philthy and then Mickey. Don't get me wrong Eddie was great but the energy is so much better with the current line up. Motorhead forever! So sad it's over.
Takes me back to high school days in 87, had a buddy who lived in a one room apartment and we would slam dance going back and forth in about 5 feet of space, listening to Motörhead.
He was a very relaxed person, he had his life pretty much as he wanted it. But what this says to me is that he was at his happiest doing this. I truly believe that he was born to do this. He just stands there.......and does it. It’s what he does.(did). Absolutely bloody magnificent.
I’d like to be there! I’m from Brazil! Unfortunately, I never saw them live! I discovered Motörhead at The end of 2015, I had hope to see them, but in 28th December Lemmy died and when I knew it, I cried a lot! Rest in power, dear Lemmy!
Thanks for this great upload. Those were the days when Lemmy was still in shape as we all knew him all our lives (those who were old enough) and probably that's the Lemmy we all forever remember and keep in our hearts! Legend, you and Motörhead are sadly missed! Thanks for the memories, the inspiritiation and the shitload of awesome music! "Good evening, we are Motörhead..."....and you played Rock'n Roll! I wonder if anyone will ever even come close to that sound and honest, down to earth attidude of you guys....
No band is as loud as Motörhead. And no band will be as loud as them. When Motörhead comes on stage, they're as loud as it gets. And that's when it's loud enough
I first saw Motorhead in Melbourne in 1981. At that time they had just been touted as the loudest band in the world. I saw them at an old St Kilda place called The Venue. Around that time i had a leather bound copy of No Remorse. I clearly remember my ears ringing for three days. Still a fan and man what a band driven by a rock ‘n’ roll genius. Thanks to Lemmy and all of his gringos. Shout out to all fans old and new!!!👹
Who else can be so simple and successful at the same time??? Unbelievable!!! "We are Motorhead! And we play rock 'n' roll!!!"... And everyone is focusing on him... Glad to see them live twice.. Not in festivals. At a headline show in front of their fans only they are amazing!!!!
I saw Motorhead 27 times between 1998-2014. They NEVER played a bad show. As the singer/bassist of Krisiun said this year, "The greatest frontman of all time." Great also to see songs they didn't play that much live in their history like "be my baby", "killers", and "I got mine". *RIP Lemmy, you'll be missed.*
@@stevebond7387Wow, that's a really good question. I'd say the "We are Motorhead" tour in 2000. I met Lemmy at the show (he was at the bar sucking down some gin), and he gave me the best piece of advice I've ever received from someone about playing music. I'd also say the "Inferno" tour of 2004/2005 was equally as good (and probably a better album than 'WAM'; also when they did "Whorehouse Blues" live it was essentially Motorhead unplugged, they were all doing acoustic instruments like in the song). In third place I'd put "The World is Yours" tour in 2012; it is such an interesting album for a band late in their career to not only reinvent themselves but return to some of their stuff/style they had in the first four albums.
@@stevebond7387 I feel so sorry for kids these days that they can't witness a band like Motorhead. There's not gonna be another Motorhead. Rock on man!
fuck yeah kick ass concert from motorhead, live france july 17th 2008. what a good setlist too. we are motorhead and we came for rock and roll. \m/ lemmy, mickey dee, and phil campbell kick ass here.
I saw Motorhead several times in 1981 and it doesn't matter whether the line up includes Eddie and Animal or Phil and Mikkee, Motorhead are Motorhead and they play rock and roll.
So glad I got to see them live... Never was straight Rock 'n Roll 0layed with such ferocity and intensity. And it, most likely, never will be again. RIP Lemmy Kilmister, Eddie Clarke, Philthy Taylor and Würzel...
Mikey Dee and Phil Campbell... the Motorhead line up as good but just different to Philthy and Fast Eddie. What a power trio these boys were! Chef's kiss.
.I wish there was more back stage footage before going on...I'm laughing Phil and Lemmy both have a smoke goin and, it's kind of like everyone in on a rehearsal with Phil goovin' around the stage and just as good stage presents as Philthy and Eddie.and that, is remarkable
The more you know Motorhead, the more you love amazed of how great they are in all the aspects. Pure, raw and honest. Edit: We are a new rock band and would like to invite you to listen our first EP. Bring some fresh rock music to you. Wish you enjoy it.
What's so amazing is that pretty much every other band their age lost their energy and skills got dull, while Motorhead ran full steam right to the end it seems and never stopped being themselves. They never wrote or played a weak song ever unlike most everyone else.
@@billmcyrus So agree. It's amazing if you dig in their discography the amazing songs they have, like "Back at the funny farm", "Make my day", "Buried Alive", "Crazy like a fox"...there are a lot!! XD Would have been a dream to meet Lemmy. Seemed to be a very honest and real person. Quite intereseting for having a conversation.
