Back to Malaysia in November 2019 with reasonable results. Please share and spread the word. These beautiful insects have never been more important to ecology than they are are now in a world of climate change.
Unfortunately I haven't done any blacklighting or light traping for nocturnal insects yet. I live in Greece, so the diversity of moths and of the rest insect species is not very big. However, I really wanna test this out ! I am just worried about one thing... Are black lights dangerous for the human body or the human eyes ? Please I would appreciate your advice
@@gustavoserrano9831 Apologies fo the late response ive been away, I had limited results when I set a light trap near Sarasota apart from a group or armadillos that appeared out of the bushes! I suggest you find the darkest place possible away from population lights and preferably an open area surrounded by vegitation. The light source is important and the best is a 125W mercury vapour lamp suspended in front of a white sheet. I'm in the U.K. and not sure where to find the kit in the states.Best of luck. Kind regards Richard.

Why they won't hurt you and in places like mylaysia in this video and in south and central America they are quite pretty to look at the patterns on their wings
