my cats HATED each other when i first got them, but now they are inseparable. sometimes it just takes some getting used to for cats to coexist

Cats sometimes can take a month or two or more to get used to each other. Just straight up introducing them without easing them in will often result in Sakura's reaction or MUCH worse. Cats are super territorial, feed them separated by a door. Then scent swap in their territories (take items from each other's rooms and place them in the other territory). Slow introductions are best or else it can really end in blood and vet bills. Feeding them near one another is the BEST way to introduce cats, especially if they are food motivated. Given how Sakura reacted, she's actually not that bad. She hissed, but did not look especially scared and violent.

the way Sakura reacted is totally fine. It's VERY rare for cats not to hiss and hide from each other at the beginning. It may take several days to a couple of months until cats get used to each other. So if you actually want to introduce the cats, you need to be a little bit patient. I know we all want our animals to get along with each other, but it doesn't work like that unfortunately

Perhaps you could try a more neutral room. Because this is more Sakura's room. Which actually puts the kittens on her territory.

There are very specific ways that cat get acclimated to eachother. They will almost always hiss and act like sakura did, its not that she cant or shouldnt have a friend, its that you need to get her used to the other cat through sent and with a door between them and stuff. Just introducing them isnt an accurate representation of if they will get along.

Put a rubber mat under the litter box and then the litter for their paws will get on that when they step out of the box

I had a cat and then got a second one that was special needs. The first cat did not want anything to do with the cat but if they were in the backyard and a stray cat would stop by and start to move in on the special needs cat my other cat would chase it off. She didn’t seem to want to play with her but she was very protective of her.

Cats need a lot of patience and treats, but they will almost always warm up to another cat with time

i heavily recommend you DONT introduce the mommas because of both of their pasts and the fact that cats dont typically get along i just dont wanna see either of them get hurt.

Lol, I introduced my cat(Lucky) who looks similar to Sakura, just black and white. To my new kitten, Autumn, and Lucky was . . not very happy at the thought of having a kitten friend, but a few days later, I walked in on their cuddles, Lucky grooming the kitten!

My family found 3 kittens in a bush .We had to bottle feed them and watch them 24 7 .We also have 3 dogs and a cat 2 of the dogs loved them and thought they were the cats parents the other dog is a West Highland Terrier so at first he thought they were rats .Our cat would hiss at them and didn’t want anything to do with them it took her a few weeks to get used to them . But now we kept one and she loves him the dogs all also love him .

Im sure other people have told you but, please please don’t grab any of the kittens or especially full grown cats by their scruff!! It can be painful for them and cause them to be stressed and anxious, mother cats know where exactly to pick them up by the scruff to not cause any harm or pain and they only do it within the first few weeks of a kittens life, you can also look up all this information if you want to be sure I love watching your videos of you fostering pregnant animals or animals with babies, but I hope you see this so that it can help you understand that it is not good for them so that you can improve your fostering of cats

Sakura might need a different kind of feed for her furr. She always has greasy furr and with a different feed that can be solved. Her furr let's you know that what she is eating is not what she is supposed to eat.

Hissing is normal, if you want them to get along you feed on opposite sides of a door. Then you open the door a little then a little more.

You reading it wrong the second time did go extreemly well specially considering you did bring the kitten in HER room. Next time try a neutral place.

If I recall, in cat genetics, male cats are more likely to have their fur be closer to their mother's. Also, white unless it's completely white or color point, is spotting. Like, the other colors are supposed to be everywhere if not for the fact that it can be covered by white genetic paint. And the genetic paint is in levels. Like spotting level 5. There is a level 10, which means that they look completely white, but genetically, they have a pattern underneath all the white, and it can be passed down. I think that's how it works... Don't forget Dilutes! Cream I THINK is a dilute of red, aka orange. And grey of black. Usually blue eyes isn't common in cats that AREN'T a specific white, which I think is why these kittens are rare? And white fur and blue eyes makes one more likely to have... I think deafness? Unless it's in the breed I think. I am no expert, I get my info from looking up cat info online due to being a warrior cats fan, and wanting to know what genetically accurate warriors would look like, because those books aren't. AT ALL.

You know the reason that Sakura is hissing is because they're not her kids, if they were her kittens she wouldnt react that way, it's simply because every mother has a mark a smell just a simple indication that these are her kittens, they get this now when they're bathed when they're born anything that their mom can do to them. That's why it's usually best about to bathe the kitten because if you do it can mark the scent off of the baby in the mall could be confused but at this age of your kittens you dont worry about that. the smell that's on the kittens is different to what Sakura is used to, so she's going to react badly to meeting them which is why I've kind of dreaded the meeting. I'm not trying to sound like a smart aleck but that's why.

Quickest way to help animals integrate is to brush them with the same brush. Mixing their smell together gets rid of the foreign smell.
