With the alleged perpetrator in custody, I'm confused why, their identity needs to be released to the public INSTEAD of keeping the focus on the victim and those most impacted by the crime. Deal with the matter fully in court and then release those details.

Don’t care tbh, my old man had extreme schizophrenia and never laid his hands on anyone or myself unless it was a smack, he ended up taking his life without feeling the need to hurt others physically. I don’t buy it.

This incident has nothing to do with Asian mothers 'being strict'. It is related to an extreme 'religious' belief. She thought her daughter was taken over by 'demon', actually she was controlled by it. It is dangerous to practise a sort of 'religion', which is actually a cult.

I'm pretty sure if she was mentally well, there is no way on earth she would have done what she did. She is likely experiencing schizophrenia and a psychosis. She wouldn't have been aware rationally what she did. She isn't evil , she isnt bad either. It's really unfortunate that her escalating illness wasn't properly discovered before this occurred. Once she is treated for psychosis and realises what she has done, she will be as sad as all of us. She isn't evil, and isn't a bad person...first of all she is this girls mother
Don't assume the perpetrator is mentally ill, there are plenty of monsters in this world. For all we know this was a domestic violence attack and the child paid the price
Always the same. The man is always a monster and here we go with the excuses for the woman. About time that every case like this was rationally looked into to find the cause, regardless if it was the father or mother.

You won't be surprised that she was screaming at some point and someone actually heard and ignored it, that's what they do in Australia no one will come and help or even just call for help. What a sad environment.

Hey man please don’t associate what this woman did with Christianity. She definitely had a demon and was struggling. She recognised that she needed help and that Jesus was her true saviour, but unfortunately the Devil took control of her in that vital moment. Very sad
