In the days and weeks following the fatal Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, mother Ana Rodriguez has been fighting for answers through her daughter's shoes.
I use to work with Ana back in 2017-2019 at a clinic in Uvalde. Everything she did was for her children. Back when I knew her she was such a hardworking woman, her whole being revolves around her kiddos. She was the type of person who you knew her kids were being raised to be respectful and bright children. Ana herself being professional, kind and very intelligent. If you’re reading this Ana, I’m so sorry for your heartbreak. No one deserves this. We’re praying for you over here. 💛

The fact that they identified her by the shoe she wore, reminded me all over again that they were really JUST KIDS. And this monster took their lives away just because his life was already ruined. That’s truly a shame.

The reason they won’t do the age 25 because it would slow down gun sales, there needs to be a GPS device place all new guns so they can be trace when stolen or in a populated place where don’t belong , like schools, store, malls, theaters, and parks, public spaces.they should only be sold to one person, no more trading or selling at shows. One time one person ownership.

For me this is the most horrible mass shooting , because of all those little ones dead and also calling for help and being left alone. It literally made me cry a lot . Peace to the families and all 21 in heaven . Amen .

It’s haunting, sickening, all of it. I woke up with a panic attack and heart racing a couple nights ago because my brain subconsciously envisioned it. There are too many psychopaths and they all must be in charge for this to be happening.
Me as a mother of a 9 year year old daughter I can't imagine the hurt, heartbreak, sadness of losing my child to something so horrific. My prayers to everyone. My heart breaks watching these videos. I feel the pain in everyone's words.
This mother lost her sunshine. Sure, she has other kids that represent the other things in the world she loves- the ocean, the sky, but she lost her sunshine, her favorite, and it’s never coming back. It’s like what I told people after my mom died, it’s like the sun set and never rose again. And to this day nearly 3 years later, it still feels like that. You have no idea what loss feels like until you lose someone you truly loved with the maximum capacity of your heart and being. To lose that is to lose everything. Faith, Hope, Love, Safety, Family, a piece of all of them dies.

I don't think a parent should grieve losing one child more than they would another, that's very strange to me. And this world is short and temporary, if she abides in Jesus, she should take joy in the hope that she will be reunited for eternity with her daughter one day and be present and joyful for the children and others that are still here and need her.

I worked at a school who has multiple lock-downs a year. It is heartbreaking to watch 25 10 y/o's ask their teacher if they are safe at school. My heart goes out to all the families of children list and the families of school-aged kids who can not be homeschooled. I'm sorry you have to worry about such things. 🤗 😢
I’m in Illinois and I’m definitely enrolling my boy in homeschooling, he’s 2 now. Especially if Illinois bans assault weapons but they’re not federally banned, what good does that do.
look into independent study if that's an option near you. my brother did that all of high school and I did it my senior year, we only had to go to school one day a week for a couple hours to meet with our teacher, take tests, and pick up course material for the next week and our mom was able to go with us and be there in the room if she/we wanted since it was just us and the teacher. Easier for the parent than having to completely homeschool, and honestly seems so much safer these days. PLUS I personally loved it. At this point I would never want to have to have to go back to public school daily. too many shootings. too scary.
I have a one year old and every time I hear these stories it breaks my heart more and more. WHY? Why did this have to happen to these amazing little innocent babies. I have a 2 year old and feel the same. Join groups, flood the white house with messages, silently protest by homeschooling (if nothing changes by school age). Also take precautions like avoiding crowded events and places (go shopping in non-busy hours or choose pick up/delivery). Part of me feels like what’s happening in the world is one big social experiment. How crazy can they drive people?
My son was 3 months old when I had those same feelings about what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary. Here we are nearly 10 years later and many more mass shootings. It's absolutely sickening and for it to happen again in an elementary school is ridiculous.

The only thing that will keep those parents going on with their lives are if they have other children. They have to go on with life for the children they have.

The biggest tragedy of all is when children are killed. We need some measure of justice here. Let’s get cops in jail, for the rest of their life, or execute them, as accessories to murder. These parents that are even able to speak after this horrific incident are so strong. I feel like I would never be able to speak or leave my house again.

The stories continue to hurt my soul. I cannot imagine what the parents are going through. Identified with the help of her shoes gives me that ill sensation in the pit of my stomach.. These guns that are meant for war should only be bought by owners with extended background checks and experience with the “regular” guns. No 18 year old should have a weapon like that. Like giving an irresponsible kid a V8 V12 sports car as a first car.

@@TheEd1225 it's a high speed bullet that shatters on impact causing extensive damage, however a 9mm pistol bullet can go through one person and kill someone behind them killing both. Shoot an AR-15 into a pool of water and the bullet blows apart by 18 inches deep, shoot a 9mm into a pool of water and the bullet travels about 6 feet and never falls apart. There are plenty of videos on RU-vid to can see for yourself. But again, not a weapon of war.

What does any person outside of military need an AR? Such a tragic loss. Every single current purchase and past purchase gun owner should have a complete psych exam if one person in the immediate household has a mental condition of any kind they should not own a gun. Any computer searching guns, ammo etc... should be flagged and followed up with. If you own a weapon it should be locked up and bullets locked up separately if something happens that someone had access to that weapon and it was not locked up they should have to accept total responsibility, including under age children in the household and that child should be charged as an adult. You want to own guns then these should not be anything outrageous to ask of intelligent Americans. By all means own a gun, go hunting, protect your self, family and home but accept responsibility that goes with owning one.
