I love how emotionless the kid is about carrying around his father's severed head.

Well. The dad at least told you he loves you as you kill him, the mom on the other severed hand, didn't

You know the fact that the mother never tried to fight back and hit the character in order to survive but try to keep her arm in place just shows she really loved her child

This was the hardest thing for me, the mom was wanting the Mc to be normal but was insane, the father was a jerk but truly did love the kid. When he was about to die he said that he loved the kid very much-mom didn’t, I picked the father at first because he would suffer less and I thought the mom was a lot nicer, and the second run I chose mom because I wanted to put her out of her misery, honestly, killing the mom felt wrong.

I don't know why the devs didn't made a third option that looked obvious. Taking a dump in the cloning machine.

The worst part of this choice is that it completely and utterly *doesn’t* have any impact on later cutscenes. No matter which choice you make here, this choice’s outcome gets negated. This is just canon-typical traumatizing violence that fans expect out of the franchise, which while makes the game even more memorable, still bugs me that there was never any later consequence on if you killed one parent over the other.

This was honestly more grim than funny the first time through, but the fact they're STILL arguing with one another is funny as hell on reflection. XD

While both options are messed up, the mother death really is vicious.

They both love their child. And it's depressing how you have to choose one.

Dad seems atleast a bit more accepting with his death and even says a final goodbye to his son.

This was actually one of the few times in gaming I had to sit down and really think hard about a grim choice. There's no right answer. While the dad generally comes off as a bit more a jerk in the games, he seems the most protective of his child's welfare. The mother does her part but prefers to simply hide and cover up things more. However from a purely objective standpoint killing the mother would be the most logical choice. While the game makes it clear she's lost so much blood that severing her arm would kill her from blood loss, there would hypothetically be a chance of survival. However knowing either outcome results in death, the mother still loses. She's incredibly wounded with 3 broken limbs and is almost dead from hemorrhaging blood. The father is physically unharmed, and as soon as he's out of the machine he should be good to go. Both parents do love thier child and express it quite differently, and both have many shortcomings. Luckily the choice has no long term difference in the end, but it's still an incredibly messed up scenario.

At least the dad says he loves you before he dies. Granted, he also kinda sold out his wife, but she did the same to him.

As the father points out the mom got mauled pretty bad and likely would bleed out. She wasn't gonna survive much longer anyway.

I'm going for the dad because if you fart on him at one point, he will say "I shouldn't have gotten that bitch pregnant", it just makes you hate him, and he's abusive to her. I feel bad for the mom

Turnikit around the moms upper arm, after it goes numb, use one of the tools in there to safely remove it. Both parents survive. Moms bleeding out either way without the turnikit.

Somehow, everyone chooses dad not because it's the great choice. Everyone saw how the dad express the love for his child more than the mom, but it feels wrong to kill the mother in some way...

Not gonna lie. I got a little emotional when I played this part...

It doesn't even matter who you kill because you can just travel through time and prevent things from happening.

this part actually made me feel guilty on who I chose

It's like new kid doesn't even care for his parents. If I were new kid, I would go crazy with anger, hate and depression for killing my mom or my dad. And trying to get payback from Cartman for involving my parents.

My favourite part about this horrible choice is the other characters yelling at you for taking too long.

I feel like I’m the only one who would choose to save the dad. They’re both really bad, sure, but the dad seems to care about the player much more than the mom, who just seems to care about hating the Dad. The dad even says he loves you when he knows he’s gonna die, but the mom just yells that you’re making the wrong choice

You can actually kill both if you dont pickup the arm or head first

I killed mom because she looked horrible and I just wanted to put her out of her misery. I didn’t want my mom walking around like that the rest of her life.

It's Hilarious and awesome how ruthless can the new kid be, Not a single word or doubt pulling his mother arm / pressing the button (In my run i just choose decapitate the dad only because how of a jerk he was in stick of truth)

This was the hardest choice me. But then i remembered he made mommy cry at the start of the game so i killed him instantly

Hard choice af, I spent a lot of time walking around and scanning trying to see if I could get my own DNA so I didn't have to kill any. I choose to kill the mom because she had a low chance of survival already, so that child could at least have one of their parents.

Frankly, I'd put both down if I were given the chance.

I choose to kill mom since she was already bleeding to death and would die anyway. Though since you would fart your way one week after the battle with Mutant Other Kyle, either parent would be dead and forgotten. Plus that whole time reversal thing so this scene was kinda pointless.

This makes me cry as the new kid.

It doesn't really matter because they're still with you in the end and they stop fighting

Honestly I went with the dad because I put myself in the new kids shoes and since I already lost my dad last year (2020) I'm sure he's cool with my choice watching me from above play this twisted game. And I could only imagine killing my mom and seeing her/hearing her bash me about it for hrs on end in heaven 😂😂😂 so I think I made the right choice guys

I chose to kill mom because of when your about to kill dad he says I love u son but when u about to kill mom she doesn't say it.

I always picked the mom because she would definitely bleed out especially the boss fight and going ahead a week

I have no emotional attachments to either of these characters, but this is still more gross than it is funny, especially in how long and drawn out it is.

I was thinking about one of the new kid's Parents could sacrifice themselves.

I just... choose to kill the Dad because i didn't had any kind to attachment to him. It just... make me remember about my father and i feel bad about it. I know it's a fiction thing and something like this would happen in South Park, but i feel bad about killing the mother because i love my mom sm, so... I just see so many people who thought realistically and then there's me like "i have daddy issues and i don't like my dad so that's why i choose him".

I killed my mother because my dad was right all along. Although, In the game, I had problems deciding who to kill.

I spared the dad because the mother was in my opinion a lost cause in that place...i mean her legs were broken and she had a broekn arm....

This part of the game was hard and dark having to choose between the parents I was trying to find a way to save both but thought about there must be time travel because this couldn’t be the ending for his parents
