For eight years SNL made plenty of sketches making fun of Obama, and nearly nobody complained. Obama himself was cool with it. During those years there were even more jokes demonizing Hillary and she never raised a complaint either against SNL.DT on the other hand? Unless you call him the greatest person that ever lived he will call on his supporters to bitch and moan about the show being 'not funny at all.'

Such a sweet SNL cold open. It kept a bit of the political humor, but also incorporated the cast's moms in a thoughtful and powerful way. I think SNL might have a solid cast they can go forward with in Season 44 without too much of a drastic change.
