Watched this movie today yea it was good but man the ending upset me Spoilers ahead: I was so devastated when Celine killed Theo's parents and got away with everything I hate those movies when the evil person wins when Alice was on the couch and slightly opened her eyes I hoped she fully woke and stopped Celine but that didn't happen and Celine adopted theo so no punishment happened so sad I was in a bad mood for the whole day after witnessing that but I just remind myself it's just a movie great performance by both actors
Your comment is exactly how I felt! Max’s death is not even Alice’s fault in anyway and she paid the ultimate price for it. The bad guy won in this case.😭😭😭😭
@@laurencazeneuve6136 To my understanding, Alice was too weak at the time after the fight with Celine to fight back and also was devastated cuz she thought her son was dead.
The actresses and actors are famous and award winning but the movie is sucks just wasting my time watching .. I salute for your good reviews for the movies.
theres few movies i'd be so satisfied with that i'd ever want to watch again maybe in 15 years or so that being said I felt this movie was a bit better than your review would have viewers believe
The premise felt so compelling in the trailer and it immediately gave me Oscar vibes. I trust your reviews and so I am going to temper my expectations on this. Who I hope to see get nominations is Saoirse Ronan for The Outrun.
I only knew this remake existed because I watched the French Belgian version only two weeks ago and like with this, the style, look and performances are great but the story itself was like, oh okay, pretty familiar. There were one or two surprises along the way, especially near the end but then it just petered out. I was like ' oh that's it?'. By the sound of Luke's review they haven't changed anything so I will probably give it a miss or just skip to the last 20 minutes of it to compare. Pity as with the original there was a lot more potential for a good psychological thriller but no.
they keep forgetting to tell the untalented ones, like the ones playing husbands, rule #1 OF ACTING... don't be boring. Especially if your dull to look at.
