I just got one a couple weeks ago! It's nice. I just need to mess with it more. They should bring multiple colored LED fixtures into the future. I still got my old lights from back in the old day and they still work great!
I saw this when it first came out, and have watched it at Guitar Center many times. I want to buy this light as I think it's a nice centerpiece effect. However, I do a lot of weddings, and don't think it is a great effect for the weddings I do. If I were still doing Mitzvahs and Sweet 16s or High School Dances, then this would be a great light for those events. It is one of the best light effects under $300 available right now though. The lighting companies have been slacking on bringing out new effects since like 2018!
I really like the idea of this, but theres one thing missing for it to be perfect for me. Having the option to independently turn on off the led spots. Maybe not all, only a row or something but it would such a great effect to this
Hey ODB. I simply use an O'clamp and generally clamp this light to my speaker stand. I occasionally use a light stand, it is linked in the description. I will link the o'clamps later today. Sorry, I thought I had.
@@Ensoniqdude No, but there is a new Tetra controller coming very soon that will have some minor control of the Mothership and some other Venue moving lights.
Thanks for watching. Any actual dmx controller or software based dmx lighting control system. Do u have many lights to control? Do you want something you can add more to later? I did a review an an in expensive dmx controller which would allow you access to all of the Motherships dmx controls. This is the link to the inexpensive one i reviewed a while back. amzn.to/3olShvJ
If you want to use your laptop as a dmx controller look for dmx software. Like chauvet showexpress or similar. There are less expensive options out there. amzn.to/3pBuqOP
I'm not really good with lights. I just purchased this light and also the venue tetra controller. How would I set up both the light and the controller so it works properly? I want it to be sound active but when I plug it in, only the laser and donut lights work. IDK what I'm doing.. any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for checking out my video. I am sorry to say that the Tetra control will not work with the Mothership. If you watch my video on Tetra control you will note that it is for non moving lights. Pretty much for uplights or par type lights. (Also does not work with all of them, must check certain things) Wondering if someone told you they would work together or if you just figured...light controller controls lights? You are by far from the first person to ask me about this so I am just trying to find out why it seams to happen frequently. Good news is that the Mothership has sound active options in its standalone modes as well as adjustable mic sensitivity.
This light does not follow with the music. It’s a really nice light but does not go with the music. I got it at Guitar Center and they also tried out the other ones they had and it wasn’t working with the music.
Thanks for watching. The laser is 4.9mw which is about as strong as a laser pointer. I cant really give safety advice, but as long as someone doesnt put their face a foot away from it and stare at a beam that isnt moving... you should be fine. I use it just as shown with no worries.
Honestly i expect a lot more for 200$ had to return it found some different ones for under 100$ and have a better show makes the music and investment more fun keeps the people pumped these seem to slow way to simple for my crowed it’s not always the more expensive the better and I found out the hard way
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. 👍 Next time please leave the name of the light you prefer so maybe we can check it out in the future. I still think this is a great light with great coverage for the price. Unique as well. Also a big plus for many is that you can go to Guitar Center and buy one. 😁
Nah. I'm sick of these All in one fixtures. ADJ, venue, chauvet, etc. could easily go back to their classics and turn them into LED and they won't or they do and try to be cool by adding lasers or "extra" shit to them. Like the Chauvet Cosmos. look what they did to it ??? they made it basically a moving head and now the fucking light is 400 dollars !
