Here is an interesting quote from Stephen Harold Buhner (Herbal Antivirals). “Epstein-Barr acute episodes can often lead to severe chronic fatigue. Part of the fatigue comes from its impact on mitochondrial function… and Motherwort protects the mitochondria from damage!” Love your content! Thanks for sharing! Really valuable information!

I wonder if Motherwort repairs damaged mitochondria as well (not just protecting it from damage)??

One of my favorite herbs of all time...I prefer the water extract over an alcohol extract For shamanic purposes...and the water concentration tastes almost little sweet kinda....the bitter molecules seem to only be alcohol and oil soluble...but the water extract seems to have more spirtual properties to it and your mainly getting stachydrine and leonurnine with some other flavanoids..but i use the aqueous extract because it's more spirtual and more direct content with the spirit of the plant...which is much differentthen other plants...ushally the aqueous extracts of plants are not really that good..but ive tried the alcohol tincture and extract of motherwort and it's not as spirtual to me as the aqueous one...the alcohol one is more medicinal..but for me...I was looking to use it for a spirtual reasons only...but...alcohol extract...water extract...whole herb....it is such a beautiful plant spirit that no matter how you use it...its amazing have a relationship with it...lastley ill say ..motherwort was the main herb I used that helped me get through the death of my grandfather.. its ability to just be there for you like a mother..slightly comforting but not so strong that it's intoxicating...it was just a helpful tool like the extent of it being for the heart extended to like helping a sad heart as well and not just for the physical heart issues... it's just a beautiful plant helper...I love motherwort....it from wild all along the river bed I live by so I harvest it wild every year....much love to all of you

I dont think I've ever wanted to watch every video from one youtuber before, but i think i might now! This is really a lovely video, and the way you go into every aspect without being corny is probably the coolest thing I've come across. Im an aspiring herbalist, and Motherwort really was a gateway herb for me. She called to me and helped me through a lapse in my panic disorder. Forever grateful for these herbs and i can't get enough learning. My only issue now is i want to use every herb ever because im so excited. I have to stop myself and return to a place of intuition and use what i need, it can be difficult because i am so passionate lol. Im excited to watch more of your stuff! Thanks for what you do!

As Whitney was speaking of Motherwort bringing you down, the downward action, around 11:20 and the videography beginning at the top of the plant then downwards, I immediately saw the leaves as hands, pointing down to the ground saying, "This way. This way." She directs us back to the mother in us.

My herbalist recommended me Motherwort after I explained I have ADHD, it's been incredibly helpful and so helpful for PMS too which I seem to suffer with for an extended time. Yesterday I came across her growing in a community garden and seeding, I harvested some and will have a go at growing some and making my own tincture. Also love the new look in the videos!

Hi Sajah, love your channel and I’ve been subscribed and following your videos for a quite a while. I have a question about Motherwort I’ve not been able to answer yet with my own research. I’ve read that anyone with hypothyroidism should be careful when using this plant. But given that it has so many benefits, do you know if it’s possible to add another herb, say, black walnut/vervain to normalise thyroid hormone levels (or anything else you can think of) which would make it safer to use under those conditions, or would you recommend just avoiding it completely. Thank you.

😂 Oh my gosh~ I'm drinking a motherwort and skullcap tea while watching this, and thinking, "Yumm, this bitter tea is SO good!" To each their own, I guess! I think the reason my system likes bitter herb tastes is because I need that digestive help 💚

I think Sajah mentioned the significance of thorns when he talked about Devil's claw. I think Native Americans regard it as a sacred plant.

Q: When avoid using Motherworth? (Contraindications) It's refreshing it helped the girl regain her menstruations, correct amenorrhea- apparently ginger haired people are much more sensitive. Q: would it heal emotional, physical and psychological etc aspects of abuse, mother to daughter? When mother was so conditioned, she couldn't be true mother? When mothers are conditioned by system/s that they almost destroy their female offsprings/descendants (on behalf of some 'spiritual hijackings'- so mothers are technically innocent, only acting out their conditionings and pass conditionings AND also lineage pain/trauma down to further generations?) Can it help 'reverse' learnt behaviour, unconsciously acting itself out & repeating, this energetic family imprint within us? (hope this makes sense?) that can land us in trouble... Q: Can Mugwort be used instead of Motherwort? (I haven't found Motherwort yet, 'only' occasional Mugworts) nearby farmer worker cut down this wild population/garden of happy Mugworts, they were thriving, singing, soon ready to seed out...then I saw carnage his machinery left behind... I managed to harvest 2-3 plants beforehand, but those plants were there doing what they do, minding own business, likely protecting his fields and he slaughtered them (it's like he sensed my admiration, joy for 5- 6 feet tall beauties, best I've seen). They'll be back I just must control myself and avoid giving him mouthful of my opinions...! Q: Any videos on Gypsywort? (Lycopus) it looks like motherwort, but white flowers and 30-60cm tall. Last Q: do you know European equivalent to Motherwort? PS: In Chinese medicine heart opens up into the tongue, book says (princess Charlotte showed her tongue to public 😃 she "wore her heart on her tongue") Thank you
