I fucking LOVE this band... and this song!! I actually do professional Halloween decorating, and their stage is pretty fucking close to the stuff I design for venue's and parties. I wish there was a way I could contact their management, and offer our services to them when their in New England .... We have huge trees, tombstones, pumpkins all shapes and sizes, lanterns of all shapes and sizes, Gothic floor candelabra's, bird cages, cauldron's, gargoyles, more candle holders of all shapes and sizes, and ravens .. .... all kinds of stuff. We don't do silly hoaky theme's. We stick with dark, Gothic, Victorian masquerade, Sleepy Hollow (which was my wedding theme) haunted castle type theme's. I would do their decor for free. I LOVE THEIR backdrop ... it's the pumpkin house from Trick r' Treat ..... and it's a MUST WATCH if your a horror nut! On another note .... the girl on the shoulders ... no ... just no .... when your in an indoor venue that is one of the WORST THINGS you could get stuck behind .... it ruins pictures, video, and of course the view of the band .... she looks pretty tiny .... so I'm wondering if she's a little kid that came with her dad... which is cool ... but I don't think it's fair to the people behind them.
+MaidenOfDarkness That's really awesome and sounds very cool! I was quite impressed with their set this time around (have seen them a few times before and it's been a pretty standard stage setup), but this one was on a whole other level haha...and the interactive elements with various characters throughout the set really brought it all to life and did a perfect job showcasing what the band is about/their themes and whatnot. It was actually pretty annoying since it happened on more than one occasion at the concert. Trying to get a clear view for videos and for myself being there and then there's a pretty visible "block" right at the front haha, not the best of things, especially when it's occurring in the front row!
I agree!! :) the set design, and characters is just great! One thing about Motionless in White is that they put a decent chunk of money when ever they can (according to Chris) into their set for the fans.I haven't had the awesome privilege to see them live yet .... which really bums me out, because they rarely play this song and Undead Ahead live. When I finally get to see them, those songs might be phased out of the set because they have a new album coming out later this year. However you did an EXCELLENT job capturing this rare performance! Thank you! I actually had the Scissor hands "Ice dance" theme play at my wedding for the procession of my family and bridal party. We are purchasing a snow machine this year to add to our decoration selection as well .... and it's all because we saw this video! Despite the girl on the shoulders everything in the video was great! One of the venue's I frequent locally for shows has the security guards standing on the lower part of the barricade ..... which COMPLETELY BLOCKS YOUR VIEW!! One time the venue even had the bands go on when they were still getting people in the door, which really pissed me off, because when I go to a show it's to see EVERY BAND. I completely understand the frustration you must have when someone in the crowd does that. I'm surprised Chris didn't say anything, because I have heard him tell people in the audience with a sign to put it down so others can see ... but hey at least she was a skinny little thing ... ;p .... lol ... :)
MaidenOfDarkness Yeah! I was pleasantly surprised with the setlist. I remember him saying that there's going to be a few surprises on this specific tour (the set being one of them and then playing a few songs they don't really ever play live). It's funny. I saw this tour in Canada since I live here but a month later I was in Denver and this tour happened to be there when I was in the city and out of nowhere I walk into a mall and Chris is standing there with new luggage haha...crazy! Sounds like your wedding was awesome and a very unique theme/unique in what you incorporated and included in it as well! But yeah, didn't seem to really bother anyone all that much which is a good thing. Last thing i'd want to happen is someone not enjoying the concert because of something like that.
