This week, let’s have some fun. Off the Too Fast For Love Album, drum cover of Live Wire by #MotleyCrue with a live(ish) intro I put together. On here (YT), I’ve focused on lesser known eras of MC but from the time I saw one of their videos, I dug the band. I honestly don’t have a clue what was considered ahead of the curve in 1981 drum wise but this has always seemed like a track that wasn’t typical. Just an old school anthem with some punk roots, some rock and big ass hooks but a driving double bass. Didn’t load it up with stick tricks or licks - just tried to stay true to the track EVEN THOUGH I want to move much more in a direction of straying from the original track. Always fun to cover #Motley Crue.
As always, I hope you’re all safe and well and are looking at a great weekend ahead. And, there is a second version of this which I may release. We’ll see.
