Nikki has always said I'll never be a Steve Harris. He's also said Billy Sheehan would stick out like a sore thumb in Motley. He also said the same about Steve Vie as I recall.
when it rains, people get wet. wrong or right? Nikki is known in the music industry as a habitual liar. Nikki made his bones on tales. not via hard work. his own peers know never well Motley has been using backing tapes for decades. i'll go one step further, these same peers are fully aware that Nikki cannot play the bass in a studio or live in concert.
@@javtimestwo He can play the bass. Just very badly. In any live show where you can really hear the bassline, especially when they are unable to use their backing tracks, you can hear him missing notes, fingering the wrong frets, and only really comfortable when he is just chung-chung-chung-ing along in open E or open A strings. In 40 years of "playing", he still can't even play the strings on the upstroke. Nowhere is this more evident than here in these studio tapes from '94. Watch him play, he never plays the strings on the upstroke. Severely limits playing, but should be one of the first things you learn as you start to play a stringed instrument. But I wouldn't say that his whole musical life in based on a lie. Sure, they have used backing tapes for probably about 20 years now. Sure, he can't play bass. Sure, he relies on a wig for his hair. But to say he didn't work hard is just bullshit. They did work like dogs back in the club days. And he was a great songwriter, and led the image shifts through the early 80's perfectly. He was also a great rock star back then. He was, however, never a real heroin addict. Or he would not have overdosed in that fashion, as he would have a tolerance level like no other. It's also impossible that he got through over $10,000 every week just on heroin. You just couldn't get that much into your system, even using huge 5ml pins. As an addict myself for over 20 years, I know how this shit works. He was a part-time user at best. That would explain why there are no pictures of him with his pupils "pinned" (your pupils shrink to almost nothing with opiates in your system, especially on as much as an addict would need each day), and definitely no pictures of him with any track marks anywhere on his arms, legs or anywhere else visible, which would be impossible if he was consuming the amounts of heroin he claimed. This Corabi album was truly awesome though. The last really great work motley ever did.
@@w0bbl3r dude, i'm so glad you posted that. let's hope Nikki reads it and gets right to practicing, LOL! the guy is a fraud. the very worst kept secret is that Motley Crue plays live in concert, 90% of their "live music" is backing tracks.
motley crue never actually said they were completley sober on the feelgood tour , they were slip backs . Mick was asking nikki if he had taken dope and said he thought he was high on it , i didn't think nikki looked high to me.
