Good phone but why did Motorola take away the dual stereo speakers and action camera view is my question 🤔. Plus no NFC. When upgrading its about adding more not subtracting features imo.
Yeah, it's interesting to me that my Kyocera Hydro Vibe from 2014 had wireless charging (PMA), NFC, and IPX7 water/dust resistance--all for $40 at the time. Yet once Apple decides to add these features, they become "premium". It also had a removable battery and a headphone jack. I have a Nexus 6 at the moment but sometimes I still miss the Kyocera. (I had to part with it because too many apps became incompatible with KitKat)

nfc, who knows. The speakers, maybe they trying to either make more profit or believe that people are heading toward more ear buds only and that people don't care for speakers as ik i don't.
I was trying to figure out if I have the 2020 version or the 2021.. I just purchased it in the Motorola site. Glad I got the 2020 cause speakers are important. I don't need a bigger screen in my small hands lol

@@AuroraColoradoUSA the 2021. 2020 i did not see to have the extended shutter time. And yes I used a penlight on a rope for circles and flashlight to “paint” nighttime environments.
The stylus aren't regular cheap $5 stylus. The moto stylus pen won't work at all with other devices. I tried using the pen with my Moto G Power and other devices and NOTHING HAPPENED. I used a cheap $5 stylus on the Moto G Stylus 2020 and used the moto stylus and the difference was significant. The built-in moto stylus was FAR BETTER. It isn't on par with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite stylus but it is way better than the cheap $5 stylus.
I will probably go 2021 Stylus when I replace my old Stylus... I got the oldest version I think with a 16MP back camera but the phone is great. Battery wont last forever though. I use a power brick to charge so the 5000mA battery is not THAT big of deal. I chose my Stylus over the Power for its camera. In fact, if they just threw that largest battery into the Stylus, they could just discontinue the Power.
I bought the 2020 and the reason was for stereo speakers and they just sound wonderful when you’re watching Netflix. If you need a phone and you don’t want to pay a lot you could go to eBay or Facebook market and get a brand new for 125 to 150 and you will not regret it and if you mean objectives it’s going on Facebook Instagram Snapchat messenger you can’t go wrong and the cows actually take great pictures call quality is also great. And you can also have two apps running at the same time which is a plus. And last week I got an upgrade for this phone. I also have the note 9 but that cost a lot of money but you don’t need to know nothing unless you really do a lot of business on it. It’s really up to you how much money you want to spend on the phone all phones basically do the same thing.

This phone is great! Best features are the insanely long battery time. When you charge it, it stays charged. Which is more than I can say for many phones. Also can hold A LOT of data. 9/10. I have the 2020 version. Also the speakers are VERY loud which is a plus

Thank you for the review. Actually purchased the 2020 version last year as the upgrade to the moto X4 which I still have. The 4X is now showing some issues and will be the backup to the 2020 version which I just started using today. Prior to that it was used as a WAP while working remotely. I'm still tempted to upgrade to a Nexus because I use a google voice number and I anticipate that using a google phone with a google number will prove advantagous. This review is great because it introduces me to the dual speakers!
Love the 2020 model camera and the speakers are soooo much better than the 2021 model as well as speakers on other companies phones. Will keep my 2020 Moto G Stylus til they add these features to a 5G phone in the same price range.
Team Moto G Stylus 2020 here..... I have both the Moto G Power and the Stylus 2020. I have been very impressed with it. I do prefer the Stylus over the Power and I think it is worth the extra. To remove one of the best PROs from the 2020 model with its dual stereo speakers is idiotic. Besides the 2020 model having double the MP with ultrawide camera, I think the 2020 model has a better camera too as it can record 1080p at 120fps and the 2021 model can't. The 2020 model also has a dedicated video camera than can record in ultrawide in vertical position (action camera). I don't know why that picture is so yellow. I have been quite happy with the Moto G Stylus 2020 camera. I pretty much like my 2020 Stylus just as much as my more expensive Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. I think Motorola has a better interface, better speakers, better fingerprint sensor and better battery life. My Samsung is still my daily driver phone and my Stylus is my secondary phone but I could definitely be happy if my Motorola was my daily driver phone..... I will wait to 2023 for my next upgrade and Motorola will be on my watch list.
How is the battery? I can’t choose between these two. I would get the Stylus but the battery is a letdown compared to the power while the power just comes in the color black which I hate
@@elithluxe7568 The battery is great with the stylus. It is a little bit less screen time (15%?) than the Power 2020 but it is great. I am actually typing on my Moto G Stylus now. The Moto G Stylus's camera is the biggest reason why I prefer the Stylus over the Power. The Stylus camera is really impressive. It is worth to pay the extra but you can't go wrong with the Power as well. I bought 3 Power phones (unlocked, google fi and TracFone). I kept the Google Fi and gave the others as gifts. They are really good as well and great value.... I have no idea about the 2021 versions.
@@Bflo23 yeah I heard the 2021 versions were not that impressive so I'm focused on 2020. At this point I just want to say fudge it and get both unlocked of course. It would be easier if I could just get Xiaomi phones. Their phones are on par with iphone and Samsung but the broadbands don't work with my sim card so I never have mobile data and sometimes service is so bad. Idk if it's cause I'm in the US or NYC. The specs from my Redmi Note 4 that I got in 2018 are on par with the phones being released recently which is pretty ironic. My phone has a 4000 battery but I don't think it's ever lasted 2-3 days so I'm not sure about the stylus and that is why the power seems tempting but I love the way the stylus looks so pretty and sleek. I also heard the Stylus is good for gaming but some people also say the Power is good for that while others say it's not and it's so conflicting. How long would you say the battery lasts on a single charge for both? Some people also say the apps don't work on the Power or have some issues?
@@elithluxe7568 I get 4 days on a charge with the Power (best battery phone ever... Surpassing Moto z play battery life) and 3 days on a charge with the Stylus. Great battery life for both... Never had any issues with apps with these phones or any of my other older Motorola phones.

Great vid, Getting a new one. I edit out the suns glare from friends pics of sunsets and stormy clouds with this phone and send them back totally different, with very in depth stunning colors not visible to the human eye. People cant believe the dark true colors hidden by the suns glare that they cant get rid of on their high end phones and ask me how i can get these pics so colorful.... Motorola's photo features. Its almost like a service doing this.
The only disappointment is that this year's version doesn't have the stereo speakers. I really wanted last years version for that. But after watching this video I think I'll just go for this year model. The look is more elegant and professional, I like the pop-up mechanism on the stylus pen, As well as the increased screen to body size. And the camera quality looks slightly better. And in another video I saw how the performance is slightly faster than last years model. Going for the newer younger faster hottie again.
If anyone is thinking about getting the 2020 version, I definitely recommend it. It's pretty great, only problem i've had with mine is things with the charging port and a cracked screen both caused by me being a little careless. I don't know anything about the 2021 version except what is in this video so it might also be really good.

(source google) I went from my LG Stylo 4 which I loved except for the small amount of storage to the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021 version and it has more than enough storage, with 128GB internal and up to 500GB SD card expansion which I currently have a 32GB and I have a 128GB back up SD card

I have the v20 and one of my biggest lures was the speaker system. I keep my nails short so I do wish I had the click stylus. All in all I do really like this phone.
Thank you for this video. Now knowing that the fingerprint sensor is on the side of the phone instead of the back is going to make it easier for me to buy. I didn't buy before because sensor was on back.
Personally I don't like face unlock. On the last year's moto g stylus, I adore the stereo speakers. My previous phone was a t mobile revvl 4+ and the loudspeaker sound was alright, but this phone the g stylus 2020 is better to me. The sound clip I heard on the 2021 version is atrocious. Nothing special there. The dual speakers coulda stayed or something. I won't be buying that version. Nope.
I thought about the 2021 model when I was looking for another LG with a stylus BUT all I could find were refurbished/renewed ones. I was even going to buy the phone from my carrier but I kept getting the run around at the store nearest me. They kept telling me that their card reader was broken and in this day and age I'm not going to walk around with that much money in my pocket. One night this past April I decided to go to Motorola's website. The phone was $100 off! That's LESS than what the carrier's store wanted. With sales tax I'm out of pocket $207.99. It came with Android 10 and in just over a week it was upgraded to Android 11. I liked Android 10 better and wish I could get it back.

Specifically what are you saying add some more context to your question when you say does it support zoom are you asking are you able to zoom in when you take a photo or video?
I bought the 2020 stylus for a decent price but have been having problems with the earpiece. I have to use the speaker in order to make phone calls and it tends to go in and out. Not a huge problem but it is annoying.
The thicker stylus pen for the new Moto stylus is definitely not as good as the older one because it is impossible to write or draw with a thin line. I rarely use any stylus but I thought it was mentioning.
Motorola took away the dual speakers on the 2021 Stylus. Why? That's a deal breaker for me. The Stylus on both phones is pretty much useless. Just a kiddie toy for doodling. Also, Motorola's update schedule is terrible. No thanks Motorola. I'm not impressed.
The lack thereof dual speakers on the 2021 is a deal breaker. I mean what's so great about the so called upgrade if some features are downgraded? I do use the stylus for typing and editing photos when my finger gets in the way. They're not anywhere close to the samsung notes, but they're doable for people looking for a lower cost options.

Majorly pissed about the 2021 stereo speaker slight-of-hand, you have to watch Motorola they remove features in their upgrades all the time. I just got the 2021 and as if to mock me it says "Hello Moto!" with its chumpy analog speaker every time I turn it on, lol. 12:20 the pictures do look a whole lot better though with the 2021, and I have to admit seeing it myself the photos and display does look exceptional. Also I've seen some complaints about slowness with the 2020, the 2021 has a somewhat faster CPU. The stylus is also better if you're into that. I guess you have to decide... to be honest I think display matters more than sound. I'm still debating whether to take it back and get the 2020, I "upgraded" from a Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen (had stereo speakers) my problem is when I'm using the new speaker phone sometimes I have trouble hearing mumbly people now outside. I think its because the sound projects downwards, or some bizarre AI muting thing... anyway its annoying

Yesterday One Note: regarding the fingerprint button, the new model with the fingerprint button on the side, negates the use of a case and almost everybody puts their phones in a case specially one with such an easily breakable screen and very expensive to replace screen. @@skylerbond56 What was I thinking!?!? Of course all the case manufacturers will suffice to this change in the product and make cases that work with the fingerprint reader on the side. Very dumb on my part to think otherwise.
I bought my Moto g stylus 2021 in February I believe of 2021 and the stylus pen has been stuck inside the phone ever since I bought it! Also I can't get it to do screenshot no matter what!
Does it have a multi dual talk where you can have the front camera facing you and the rear camera facing to share where your at like let say your at a game and some one calls you, you answer the phone video call and the rear camera showing the game and the front camera facing you talking to a family member. You know what I mean? Because I know the new phone for cricket the moto g stylus does have that feature. Does this new one have it?
Yup, I unfortunately think the note series is done. I wish a note 10 lite replacement would come, something like an A72 + Stylus - that would be the best selling phone lol

I currently have the 2020 Moto G Stylus and I'm thinking about upgrading to the 2021 or 2022 model because mine has an issue with turning on (basically it takes 10-15 minutes to turn on after being turned off)
Ouch that stinks. I still use the 2020 stylus. First one I dropped and couldn't connect to signal so metro gave me another for free. But I've been deciding if I should go with the 2022 version. I'm afraid tbh.

I still love my 2020 but I got the 2021 & it feels good..... I can use the ultrawide lens for photos & I enjoy viewing so much more on that tall screen.... It's become my favorite phone....
I don't know what I got but I just went to metro pcs to upgrade my lg k30 to this moto g stylus but i can't tell if it's 2020 or 2021 when buying a screen cover on amazon.
i really like the older model better as far as design, the new camera bump just looks like any generic camera bump from a oneplus phone and other midrangers and budget phones, last year the stylus had its own unique look which i think is a little more classy and the aspect ratio of the screen of last years stylus is also better to me
You can't be any worse, last year's was complete garbage worst phone I've ever owned. It wasn't powerful enough to run doordash and GPS at the same time.
I Enjoy the Dolby 2 Speaker Sound too much to give it up.... I can't Imagine listening to.... ❤️'s Version of Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center - without it.... I do use my stylus for some notes.... It's good the Improved & Changed the Camera set up... Thanks for the Comparison....
Yeah the duel speaker setup is nice for when I don't have my earbuds. But I've been deciding if I should go with the 2022 version or hold out yet for 2023 and see what haps. Tbh I'm kinda afraid that I might not like the 2022 or moto downgrades in some way for the 23

Online from Straight Talk... While supplies last.... The only other really good Moto model is the 2022 Moto g Stylus 5g.... Metro has the best deal for that one....
