Bob's Fish and Chips Wireless 😂😂😂. Motorola has been a viable company and consistently put out decent smartphones. Plus having it unlocked outta the box is clear of bloatware. Definitely would cop a Motorola especially the stylus.
I purchased the Moto G Stylus 2020 as a backup phone. Over time I found myself using that little gem more and more, and now it's basically my primary daily phone.
Lmao ... I'm the opposite. I was always a fan of budget phones untill recently snd decided to buy galaxy fold3 to give it a try. Now ... Fold3 is my only device snd of course I gave my Redmi phone to my 10 yo brother.
Happened to me with my LG G8 and Moto G7. The Motorola was so good, I moved the G8 to backup status, since it wasn't slowing me down. That tends to happen. Some people with flagship phones tend to fall in love with budget phones that don't feel far from their flagships. Just as some people used to budget phones finally decide get a flagship and then don't wanna go back, because it'd be a compromise. Funny how we work, ha-ha!
I bought an A52S recently and I have my S10+ still that I've used for a good while. I find myself using the A52s almost all the time these days. It helps that my A52S' 778G CPU is noticeably faster than the Exynos in my S10+, but it's made me reconsider having to buy flagships like I used to. I've used the S3, S8, S10+ and now the A52S has broken that cycle. Mid range sets have gotten a lot better these days.

I whip it across the shop and watch it smash into a toolbox, or a lift, or the concrete floor just to prove it... The screen protector is fucked, but there's no scratches on the phone itself. I just pre-ordered an S22 Ultra, so I suppose my days of purposely trying to break my phone are coming to an end.
I am a big fan of the Moto G Stylus 2020 phone too. The Moto G Stylus 2020 was better than the Moto G Stylus 2021. The Power 2020 was definitely much better than the Power 2021. I use 2 phones (Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2020) and I can use either happily as my daily driver. I really have no interest in upgrading any time soon as they both do everything I want and more. I am just curious and looking what new features with the new 2022 model. I wouldn't mind in getting a Moto Edge but they are just too expensive and I don't quite see the value there.

Cause flagship phones get greedy by the parent company ......where as these budget phones actually have competition with eachother and have reason to include what we want because we'd go to the competitors ....
I know (at least here in the U.S.) Samsung and Apple rule the phone market. They get all the attention and they're also widely expensive. Being educated on budget phones is cool because it makes you realize that there are great, unique phones for way less money.
I got the Moto G stylus 2022 in march. It's the most amazing phone I've ever had hands down! It's so snappy and responsive and it functions perfectly. Android 11 is so intuitive. The screen is gorgeous and the speaker sound great and the device is not too heavy. I really like how the battery lasts for like 3 days during high usage. I feel so privileged to be able to own such futuristic technology for just $300.
$300 and you get expandable storage, a headphone jack and a stylus built in. It also comes with a charger in the box. Samsung has $1800 phones that don't come with a charger, don't have expandable storage and no headphone jack. This is frustrating as a consumer. If budget phones have the bells and whistles, the flagships should have them too.

This is how I got free of flagships: I used my last flagship for a few years until the mid tier phones caught up and passed it tech wise. Now all I ever use is mid tier. There is NOTHING a flagship offers that a little patience won't bring me a while later for 1/3 the price when mid tier gets it. I no longer stress for extra overtime or cover a weekend shift for a status symbol phone, life too short for that.

Moto been killing it on the budget end! Sure the screens ain't perfect. But they're all fast, long battery, 'usually' headphone jacks. Wish we had a similar moto tablet! The lenovos haven't been....great.
Watching this on a Motorola G Stylus (2020). This phone served me very well, but I've just preordered the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. If I didn't like the official specs of the S22 Ultra, I would have bought the Motorola G Stylus (2022).
The only downside I have with Motorola is the support. They put out good phones but only support them for a year. If they had at least two years of major Android releases and 3 years for security that would be an immediate buy for me
@@RonnieD769 i get not wanting to do anymore major Android releases but at least keep the security patches current for a couple years. it seems that when lenovo bought them support for phones flew right out the window. i could be wrong in the last sentence.
@@techfreak244 Well also in 2022 Motorola's OS & security update schedule is just too vague. Saying in their statement OS & security support will be dictated by how long consumers keep their phones. 😳🙄 OnePlus let's you know what models get OS & security updates for how long & which ones don't 🤗
Fantastic review...as always. If I was looking for a budget phone, I'd definitely rock this one. Last Motorola phone I had was the Moto G7 I got in December 2019. That thing was nice. A bit laggy some times and LCD's black levels were poor, but everything else was solid, even the camera and the build. I also had the LG G8 back then, and it didn't feel like a lesser phone. Big difference between both, but not on first glance. I gifted it to my buddy in 2020 and he still has it. I'm glad Lenovo bought Motorola Mobility, because they've been on a roll for years with their affordable phones. Even my previous Moto G4 was nice to use, and that was the bottom of the barrel model. I even got awesome shots out of its camera, which was crappy on paper.
Did everyone know that the Moto G Stylus 2020 had dual speakers tuned by Dolby? Wonder why Motorola omitted that feature for the 2022 model? Did the 2021 have it?

I currently have g stylus 5g. I have had my last 3 phones have been moto and I ve liked their quality budget phones. When he said if you want to get a phone for your parents or kids, it made me think damn, maybe I need to step up my price point
I believe moto is awful with updates. Came w/ android 11 and have not received update yet. I did get security update. I generally don't update the OS because I feel like the phone always runs worse afterwards. Conspiracy theory, the purposefully make the OS updates mess with phone so people will buy a new one. Phone only cost me $150 so in a year or so I usually just buy another
2022, and still Motorola is producing phones without NFC. I'm in the UK and nearly every transaction I see is contactless, including mine. I admit I don't know if that's how it is in the USA.
depends on where you are in the US. I’ve had situations where using nfc saved me because i forgot my card or something and it would probably make this a dealbreaker for me. For the price though, it’s still excellent.
Processor is prolly weaker on the 2022. Personally I’d get the stylus 5G from 2021. Better storage, better everything. That Mediatek processor is going to be a huge letdown.

Redmi Note 11 Pro is also 300$ and It has an OLED 120hz panel, Dimensity 920 as a cpu, 108MP main camera, 67W Charging, stereo speakers.. Better in every single aspect imo. Also happy birthday to White Shoes 🥳🥳🥳

Watching Floss reviews is like receiving a birthday gift... and this one was no different. Nice phone, great review, but for me the no NFC makes this phone a non-starter. Other than that great phone for the price.
With the exception of not having a stylus, the LG G8thinkQ is still a better buy in 2022. Android 11 is out on the unlocked T-Mobile version. Floss has a great review on this phone.
