I own a Moto Guzzi now because when I was a kid my uncle had a Moto Guzzi California and used to take us kids for a ride.. that rocking and growling… cruising … freedom. These are bike with a soul
Aspettando, circolo col mio 850T3-sport. FORZA GUZZI!
Last year I bought as a "scrap bike" my Guzzi T5. I changed oil and spark plugs, cleaned the carburators and oil pan.... After this it started immediately. Best motorbike V2 engine in the world.
This video made me buy a Guzzi eventually! And I was listening to this song while riding my new Breva 850 in the Alps this weekend. This gave me tears, smiles and goose bums!! Guzzi character - like a drug!
This video is simply awesome. The music matches it perfectly. I have to watch it over and over again and each time almost burst into tears. Yeah, immortal Guzzi. Good old times, hold tight in this cruel world, you wonderful V2 850ccm!
J'ADORE !!!! Merci. Stef
Wonderful video! Such nostalgia and despite seemingly uncared for, almost abandoned, the Moto Guzzi T3 California still has a heart beating. We had one in the seventies and are presently restoring one. It's a labour of love, no special mods, no fancy updates or whizzy bits, just as clean and shiny as the day it left Mandello de Lario in 1980. Thank you for sharing and reminding me that we had some amazing times forty years ago.
About the brakes, the 2 missing calipers are on my bench for 5 years. It is not a problem, this bike is very light, so I can stop it pressing my boots on the road, for an emergency, it's very effective ! Try it ! ;)
Complimenti!
Most excellent, was the car pulling the mad passing manouvre at the end planned...argh don't tell us it's all too perfect. Ha and that's one way to deal with the Moto Guzzi linked brake.
anche io torno a guardarlo spesso. TheLB39 your video is wonderful because it's genuine, real, without special effects or other and your bike is cool... greetings from Italy
I am agree with you, several years ago, when I had a Lemans with V11 engine, I tried Daytona and 1100 Sport, and I felt them heavy, not funny. My Lemans with 180 kg weight, 18 inches wheel, 40 mm dell'orto and 1064 cc and its famous LinoTonti frame, was like a rocket and very easy to make curves !
Beautifully made, evocative and artistic video. As a past owner of a 2008 Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport, I can appreciate the love for this famous motorcycle manufacturer.
Such a great video. I was smiling the whole time! My old '75 850T3 is far away from running, so I bought a V11 Le Mans last week to have fun on. It's cool, but not quite like a Tonti frame round-head. I love your bike. Sounds amazing. Guzzi love from Canada.
Remember ! You ride a Moto Guzzi, the engine and your heart become one, the frame and your body also, your eyes and the wheels read the road, it's great !
+Kevin Taylor Three Discs, but no Calipers at the beginning. I'm sure it had working Brakes for the rest of the Video though, it's called 'editing'. The fact he did that Burnout at the end suggests a working Front Brake at least.
No need for a rear brake ,only front brakes are important on a motorcycle! Great vid for sure ,have watched it a couple times but it's a joy to see it again and again. My first holiday trip i did was on my dads 74' 850 V7 california ,was the best trip ever!
a great clip B39 ,l am back on the road after 20 yrs without a bike ,last one was a mk3 and l now have a mk1 ,1000 sport , which has only been back on the road for one week and goes strong , looking forward to our warmer weather here down south lots of miles to catch up on
Sure man ! This lady guzzi went through rough times! Summer holydays with my family and side-car, go to work all during the year, even with chains on the rear wheel on the snow, sometimes I had to put fire under the engine for start with a saucepan of fuel because of -15-20° celsius ! One time, I shot a roe deer, another day, I sculpture my old front tyre with a hand disk cutter before to go to an bike meeting near Paris (450km) ! Rough and funny times with the Lady Guzzi !!!
Best clip everrrrrrrr. I just bought the same bike as a barn find myself. And I thought that mine was dirty. I am taking a lot of stuff of it, just not the brake's. ha
Great vid. Thank you. Notice music credit to Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter however the track is Downhearted by Australian Crawl. Good choice. Well done.
Yeah ! That was hot ! The 4WD was frightened to be shoot by the guzzi panzer ! It avoided warm and light burning benzine !!! With flying biker, of course...
just read a bit from Guzziology - AWESOME! "There are four ways to build a bike. You can make a modern looking bike with modern technology like Aprilia’s sport bike. You can make a classic style bike with classic technology like Harley. You can make a classic style bike with modern technology, like a Japanese standard bike or cruiser. What doesn’t make sense is to build a modern looking bike with classic technology. That’s what a Guzzi is."
Don't you see at 3:38 the label about the singer James Reyne "Downhearted" from the album "And the horse you rode in on" ? Because the Rolling Stones didn't have enough time for coming at home in french Jura. Perharps for an other video ?
