Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V upgraded with:
- J.W. Speaker 8700 EVO 2 PRO round seven inch LED headlight
- Motodemic Low Profile Headlight Bucket
The headlight I have installed is the European version with parking light and daytime running light. I did not connect the daytime running light because the Griso does not offer this option.
Mounting the Headlight:
The complete headlight has a very tight fit. It will not fit immediately, but it will fit by loosening the upper and lower screw of the bracket holders.
After mounting the complete headlight these holders have to be tightened again.
Preparatory Work:
- Improve cable routing of J.W. Speaker headlight
- Add a female spade connector to Motodemic cable harness
- Connect Motodemic cable harness to J.W. Speaker headlight
- Insulate spade connectors with shrink tubes

Nice show! I mounted the same headlight on my Griso, but did not change the bucket. However I found that the chrome ring was slightly too "roomy" for my liking, so I cut out an alu-ring to make it slightly narrower, just to be sure...

Nice modification. It is something that I would like to do to my Griso one day. Does the different resistance of the headlight circuit (being LED) trigger any codes on the bike display?

No, the Griso is not that modern (developed in 2003). Only the ECU "talks" to the dashboard via CAN bus.

@@janguzzi thanks. A few years back, I had an error light showing blown indicator lamp. Turned out the the whole dash needed replacing. Since then, I thought that the lamps were monitored possible via resistance. No excuse now not to upgrade the headlight now.

@@RoadsOfOz Yes the indicators are checked (page 68): www.thisoldtractor.com/mg_manuals/owners_manual_griso_8v_1200_2010_ed.02_usa-cdn.pdf This is also the reason why some LED indicators are glowing a bit when it is dark and ignition is turned off. This is not the case with my Däs-Mototec version of the Kellermann LED indicators.
