Some Araldite into the knurled section? Sadly the lost pins might puncture someone elses tyre. Better still a plit pin driled and fitted in place to halt horizontal movement. There must be quite some vibration with wind buffet.
Yes something like that. Probably silicone adhesive schmoo because that's what I have lying around. I also thought I could cut the pin short and put a rollpin (or split pin) through to keep it in place. But I'll try the silicone first and take it from there.
Dealer says "no". I am unimpressed if MG think this is "normal wear and tear". I will have a whinge at MG UK. Doubt it will get me anywhere, but who doesn't like a good whinge? ;-)
@@falcn12 Hi - TSB= Technical Service Bulletin. All they've done is increased the length of the knurled section of the pin - no other changes that I can see. Here's a general list of TSBs: www.aboutautomobile.com/Technical-Service-Bulletin/2020/Moto-Guzzi/V85-TT/Equipment And this is the one specifically about the pins: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10182350-0001.pdf
@@MultiVogon I know what a TSB is 🤪 I was wondering what the actual wording was and the actual fix. Thanks for the link to the list, I had trouble finding a source.
