Riding it for little over half a year now and loving the X-Cape so far. Sure, it's not the fastest or lightest bike but the comfort, handling and looks are phenominal. For the resonating of the windscreen I ordered some rubber rings and that's fixed👌
My upper crash bars are pretty much useless for protection BUT are brilliant for mounting smaller bags / luggage, so they are gonna stay. Great update mate cheers.
Got 2k on mine now and I love the bike , it was a replacement for a Versys . I've ordered the upper bars as a unit but as I've found you can't fit them without the lower ones ! Maybe Givi will produce a better set ? I wouldn't swap back I'd buy it again ! There is a manual available to download from Moto Mondo which is useful . I've gone for the SHAD cases rather than the Morini ones .......its a corking bike !
Nathan, how could you. The Verys is an exciting bike 😉. I’ve always said the Versys engine is nice, just need a less Tarmac orientated version. This looks like it. Thanks for the update, I quite like it.
Νathan tell us more about the engine. In my view is the breaking point if someone wants to buy it. Also you did not share with us some speed details from your trip. Nice video and we are waiting your replys
Very very very beautiful bike!!! Will you recommand this beauty as a first moto to a beginner!?? Thinking about cb500x or the Vstrom 650xt, but this one is a such a nice one for a good price!!! Hello from Serbia 🇷🇸✌️
Hey Alen. Apologies for later reply. I think you definitely notice the CB500x being lighter and more manageable than the Morini and a little bit more than the Versys. I think out of the 3 bikes I've start with the Honda as I think it's just such an easy bike to ride. Hope that helps.
Looks like a bike might have to check out but Himalayan is no.1 as I have some business in Wales and the land of my fathers and the Himi looks like the right bike🏴. P.s My only worry is 24bhp for some of the faster sections in Wales. Or is that because everyone rides/drives too fast?
Once the Himalayan has a couple of thousand miles she will happily cruise at 65 / 70 mph all day long. Not too sure how fast you want to travel around Wales.
Yeah on the A roads I never have a problem keeping up or ahead of the traffic on the Himalayan and on the motorway they'll hold their own in the middle lane. You just don't have a lot in reserve so have to carry your momentum
They are a nice 👍 looking bike , you need hand 🤚 guards mate . The 650 Engine is also the CFMoto 650 engine that’s been around since about 2011 - in Australia 🇦🇺 anyway. So a proven ripped off Chinese motor 😂😂😂. Is it an easy oil filter that goes with other bikes ?
Availability / dealer network is going to hold these Chinese bikes back badly. I tried a Tiger 660 and found it too small for the type of touring I do, the Morini and the CF Moto MT800 are bikes I'd like to see and ride, but dealers are either 100's of miles away or they just don't have the bikes to demo and if I can't ride it, I ain't gonna buy it.
Totally agree. You can get away with it with a cheap 125 but not with more premium stuff. I get the impression the Chinese brands won't succeed until they start investing in the dealer experience.
Luckily where I got my 125 from they have a demo but still a good 1hr plus over the North Downs. Had a chat and yeah they said coverage an issue. I am going to try and rectify that somewhat🤞
I would say it is just for the fact it looks that bit better and it has a bit more power without much extra weight. But the trk is cheaper and still a good bike. The trk800 could be interesting
