Hello fellow Moto Racer fan here, I have to say there's a couple things you left out when quickly talking about Moto Racer 2. One, it was actually released in two versions. The version you talked about which had the ska style music is the NTSC one which has licensed music from bands Bottomdawg and the V-Town Have Nots. The other is the PAL version which has an original non-licensed soundtrack composed by Christophe Rime which sounds more like what you have listened in Moto Racer 1. Two, it was the only game in the series to have a track editor to allow users to make their own tracks and race on them. The PC version allowed bigger tracks than the PS1 version. Other than that, this is a solid review! :)

I just scored it for $4 from my local game shop today as well. I bought it with no prior knowledge of the game. I was checking out videos on my purchase. Funny I should come across your comment just now

Im a huge bike guy, but I've never found a good, fun motorcycle game im fond of. I've got dozens of MotoGP and Superbike games, and another half dozen or more MX games. Moto Racer is the only one thats enjoyable. The control of the road racers is quite fun, and I love the power wheelies. Im gonna pick this up again. Great video.

Moto Racer. One of my favourite games of all time and my favourite motorcycle game of all time. Apart from Ducati World, Motocross Madness, MotoGP, and of course my all time favourite game, Road Rash.

Busted out the old PS2 and was instantly disappointed, This wasn't the nostalgia I was after. Just picked up a PS1 and this was the first game I ordered. The PS1 has a special 90s hype I cant get enough of.
