I show the two industry leading Moto tents side by side, this comparison show the differences in size and design, the good and bad of each tent.

I have both the Atacama & Solo Redverz tents for a few years now. I don’t use the garage to pull my bike inside but as a hangout area. The mesh door on the large D door is a great addition to the tent. It allows air to flow into the tent when the side doors are down. Especially since you can unzip the exterior door top section for privacy. I personally didn’t care for the red interior in the LoanRider MotoTent.

I have used my Atacama in Alaska for the last five years and just love. I have no problem putting my RT in it. If I am hunting off an ATV I use the Atacama. If I am using a backpack then I switch over to a Hilleberg Nallo 2. I prefer the Atacame because of being able to stand up and cook in the garage. The quality of this tent is outstanding.

Dave great video and appreciate the time for putting up both tents. I have the Redverz Atacama tent and very happy with it. Visually both tents look close for pack up size.So I'm going for more room on the Atacama. I have an RT and park it outside as I have a nice cover that protects from the weather and packs down very small.I have purchased a few things from European Toy Store out of Florida.I have installed the pannier racks on top which still makes allows the doors to open and the bags that mount on top also and have a rack also from them on my top case. I know that weight is always a big factor but I ride solo. I just got a SW Motech 45 liter dry bag for putting the tent in for bad weather.You have to roll up fairly tight put takes the tent poles etc. Also I changed the line locks on it after the first use didn't care for those.Thanks Dave look forward to the next video. Be safe out there.

Really appreciate your honest review, as an owner of both! I have been considering the Lone RIder tent for that added garage, though my intent isn't to place my dirty or wet KLR. But having an even large area to gather, eat and boil water as well as sleep get s my vote for an American company ! As for an awning...I will and have in the past carried a lightweight nylon tarp that I can string between trees, use as a bike cover or simply extend the weather protection over my tent. Thanks for the direct comparison review!👍👍👍

Thanks, covered a lot of the features. Of the 2 I'd pick the Lone Rider as its a kg lighter, every kilo saved makes the journey that bit easier and more enjoyable. The doors at the back also add venting, my Vango Galaxy 300 doesnt have this feature, just a rear vent flap and in the summer last year it was very hot in there as you didn't get a thru draught like you do with these. Everyone I know or have seen at the adventure bike festival (thousands of campers), as well as my friend who has the moto tent, only bring the bike in the tent to work on it when raining, the rest of the time it's outside, so I don't think for most there will be an issue with space inside as the massive bike won't be there. Perhaps were you are theft is an issue, not sure why you insist on that, you didn't say. I think both are great tents for bike campers who want a bit of luxury and space - thanks for sharing.
@KendallAdventureandTravel
@KendallAdventureandTravel Год назад
Theft never has been my concern, for me its the ability to have the bike out of the elements, I can lay my jacket or pants over it, sit my helmet on it to charge, or any of those things without concern of other animals or critters getting in them. And keeping all of that dry. It rained nearly every day in Colorado and I was able to dry my stuff out at night while everyone else bike was covered in dew...Dave

I think the material is higher quality on the LoneRider, specifically regarding the California CPAI 84 fire-retardant rating. They’re both 210 rip stop polyester rainflys so that is realistically the same minus the fire rating. Plus, the LoneRider is 2lbs lighter. Really, it’s a pretty even match. I’d feel much more comfortable near any type of spark or cooking inside the LoneRider, but that extra space in the Redverz is not insignificant by any means. I’m looking at both of these for moto camping and car camping with my wife and dogs. I love the idea of that huge garage area for storage and letting my dogs sleep in there on trips with them. I have an FTR 1200 and soft luggage so I feel like my bike may squeeze in a bit easier too. For now I’ll stick to hammock camping though or my little 2 person tent. My buddy and I both fit our bikes under our rainflys on our recent trip to CO and that really got me onto the idea of a tent like both of these. I can get 2 more high quality tents, rainflys, and telescoping tarp poles for a similar setup for the same price as one of these. If only either of them would send me a tent, maybe they could change my mind 😏

@@KendallAdventureandTravel Those are my top 2 tents and both pricey, that why I that you may be a reviewer. I thought after seeing your comparison that you slightly favored the Atacama over the LR, but I was wrong. I thought since the packed size was the same you would take advantage of the extra room in the Atacama. Is it the extra space needed at campsites the reason that you don’t use the Atacama? I have the tent Atacama from Redverz. The quality is poor. Customer service is a disaster. Very annoying.

Its easy to say that, but in all honesty, I use the same overall area my buddies use, I just park my bike next to me, they can park theirs anywhere, but I get it..Dave

@@KendallAdventureandTravel I was mainly referring to the packed size. When I'm moto camping I am usually packing fly fishing stuff. Therefore I'm using camping gear that is more suited for ultra light backpacking. My tent isn't much larger than a Nalgene bottle

@@betrickey I can see that as being beneficial for sure, I have an adventure tent that fits in a pannier...Dave

These reviews are starting to be laughable…..especially when a company pays to review or gives free equipment away to multiple YT channels all at once. You all repeat the same thing nothing but paid infomercial. Additionally who in the hell would take that monstrosity on a motorcycle?

So based off this video, which company would you say paid me? I can answer that none. I buy with my own money everything you see on this channel if you want to check, search ADVrider.com for Detail, I sell allot of stuff after I make videos. Look at my subscriber count, I dont have enough views to make money or get free stuff, this is a hobby for me. And to answer who would use a monstrosity like this, watch my Arizona BDR video..Ive used these tents on 3 different BDR's...Sorry to upset you but thanks for watching...Dave

@KendallAdventureandTravel Take a look at any adv/motorcycle channel they are all reviewing the exact same tent. Pretty obvious when companies send out free products

@@cbr6864 I wont say you are wrong, I try to give honest feedback, if I review it, I paid for it. Dave
