what do you mean 48 mp camera pushed into a 12 mp camera or what you said? does it take 4 pics and make it to a 48 mp pic? why? i dont understand why doesnt it just take one 48 mp pic
I too actually love the design, the only con would be the little bump of camera ,as it might accidently break it someone sits on it ,just my opinion though
I couldn't agree anymore I can't wait to get this badass phone in a year once I built up cash to get the phone. I'm also switching from T-Mobile to Verizon
Damn, I had just decided to upgrade from my Z2 Play to the Pixel 3a, and then I receive the email to pre-order this one. Now I'm going to have to wait a little bit to see which one I'll go for. Its a bit more expensive, but I've been a Moto guy since the first Moto G and X. The gestures are actually useful, and the 2-day battery is fantastic!
That's how it always happens. Don't chu hate it? Haha. You decide you have the best option then when you finally purchase it something better pops up after the fact.
I have 2 phones that I use daily, one with Snapdragon 630 and one with Snapdragon 821. The difference in performance is almost non-existent, the battery life is a whole different story though. 6XX Snapdragons are way more power efficient and I'd take them any day over 8XX This new moto seems like a perfect phone
Herbert West Well than there you have it. If you only use office stuff and browser you won't notice a difference between a intel pentium and an i9 either and the pentium is much more power efficient. If this is what floats your boat more power to you but people like me who use the gamepad mod and fire up a playstation or n64 emulator every once in a while WILL notice a difference between a 6XX and a 8XX snapdragon thats why i'll stick to my z2force (even though it got no headphone jack without the mod) and will wait till lenovo releases another z ? force smartphone
@@AlonzoLopez2005 excuse me snowflake? Motorola used to be an American company. First they sold it to Google. Then Google sold it to China. How else would you like me to say it? 😂
@@AlonzoLopez2005 I've owned two of them. Great concept and a very fun phone. Problem is I do doordash and I am a power user. Constantly plugged in and draining batteries due to the fact that I'm always using GPS and data. It does a tune on these phones because they have sealed batteries. I currently have the Moto g power. I miss my mods. I hope they come up with an updated mod phone that has a better battery 🔋.
@@AlonzoLopez2005 they didn't have the battery mode when I first had this phone. For a while they were creating new mods and they even had a program where users of the phone could contribute their ideas for new mods. I would love to get another one and I still have the JBL speaker, as well as the video game controller adapter. I wanted to get the projector mod so that I could use it as a TV at home. The only thing that sucks about that phone is it's a sealed battery. It's too bad they didn't make it so you could replace the batteries. I hope they continue this concept with a newer updated phone. I am currently using a Motorola g power phone because of the outstanding battery life but unfortunately it does not accept any of the mods. This is also a great phone from them but it's not as cool as that concept.
I think the design is awesome as always. Feels very well constructed and built. Also the onscreen-fingerprint and the ability to use all of the mods is a huge advantage!
id take the unlocked because if you go to a prepaid carrier and activate it thru a BYOP program, youll actually be paying less over a span of 1-2 years vs a payment plan with verizon and potentially save $500 - $1000, straight talk extended plans are the best and get wayyy more data than verizon and i used to be a verizon customer who got tired of getting ripped off
It seems the "Approach for Moto Display" was lost in favour of that bezel less screen. I guess there was no more room for the IR sensors which is a bummer since it was a truly useful feature.
These tech specs nerds get on my nerve lol, the finger print scanner on this phone seemed good to me! It unlocked the phone in less then a sec... damn people want phones to open in warp speed LMAO 😂
Carl Google that’s why reminds me of good phone Nokia lumia 950xl good phone lack only apps but for 2015 phone got usb type c and fast charging and wireless charger capable and also 32gb storage good no need 128 not many apps people have and need all that 128 space also 4gb ram not bad and also if you got xbox you go ahead and play battery good only downside apps but people bitch on look but was a good phone with a lot of features for 2015 phone sad
Do you know if the z4 will let you mirror the screen with a USB-c to HDMI adapter? I really think Motorola should do a software update and allow their phones to use that capability .
Honestly seeing the stats and such, I'm staying with the Moto Z3. Love the side-fingerprint scanner, better processor, dual-camera, and better look with mods. Plus I'm also keeping a eye on the leaked Motorola One Pro coming soon. Looks interesting!
Just bought it for 150 bucks. A few mods later and I'm rocking this! Awesome phone. The screen is great! Yeah yeah no android 11 oh well. But so far this little machine rocks! Oh that finger print thing just take more prints of your thumb. Like three per finger and it will work with a screen protector! It's not slow and the battery is like anyone else. The build is premium not plastic like those Samsung a51 and others at a 200 range. Yeah that cheap! Plus the mods. All I can say is suck it apple and kiss it Samsung! Rocking jbl and the projector is absolutely amazing!
Hi Droid Life; Thank You For This YT Vid -- it was very helpful. I was wondering please -- what is the Speaker Phone Quality on this phone (without The Speaker Mod or any other sound/hearing accessories added to it), and also its (Audio) Phone Calling Quality when actually making phone calls and hearing the other party on this phone...?
Hello there. Is this phone coming in the India. Then when it is going to launch in India. And please tell more about camera features in your next video if possible. Thanks
does it really have a two day long battery life? like what the website of claims, and also, the other motorola phone that you have been referring to during the video, is it motorola one power or some other phone?
I believe it, when I first got my Moto G6 Play, it was rare that I had to charge my phone, never had my phone die on me before I got it on a charger I was pushing almost 2 days of charge time
Some people might say I'm downgrading, and I probably am, but I'm probably going to use my upgrade from a Pixel 2 to this. I like this way better than the 3a and if I'm correct, this has a larger screen.
@@justinmacks1481 so I heard, maybe reducing their lineup is a good thing. I hope this will sell well, you don't need flagship specs anymore to make a good phone
My only problem is the SD675 with $500 price tag ,they need to understand that with completion such as one plus, oppo,Redmi at the same price point with better processor ,they don't stand a chance
DON'T buy this until Motorola supports the mods that go with this. Try looking for the Wireless charging shell for it. Nada, zilch. Won't find it anywhere online or in the store. Why wireless? I've had several Droid turbos charging ports go bad from constant use via wear and tear. It would wiggle then eventually be too difficult to charge with a "use original charger for faster charging". It is the original! So a wireless one would help take the load off the port by allowing it to charge overnight while sleeping. Just a strategy that's extended the life of the charging port. Good luck.
That's what turned me off: the mods doesn't fit on the Z4; it feels like it was an afterthought/compromise. I'm still using a Z3 play and sold off my Z4.
Moto giveth and taketh away. Z4 spec adds Stylus Compatible with Microsoft active pen protocol Z4 spec subtracts Expandable storage Up to 512GB microSD (down from 2 TB in prior models)
Think about less shaky movements when you review the phones, I ended up slightly nauseated from all your fast hand movements, just an advise, otherwise good review
Does this one have a bulit in equaliser in it's ROM coz z2 play was missing it, which was quite annoying.. Ps. U can check it in options or if it's hidden can be checked with Spotify (needs to be premium I think) coz if ROM supports it it links to it and u can see eq option in Spotify settings
That 360° camera mod is by far the worst mod they've come up with. It's junk. They can't get rid of those fast enough. Adding value would be putting a JBL speaker mod in the box.
Does it have LTE band 71 like the z3 play did? I really liked that phone all except it's side finger print scanner. If it has band 71 for TMobile I might be in to upgrading from X4
I've got a couple questions regarding this phone. I have the Z3 now, freshly updated to Pie and while I love the hardware and love the mods, this phone seems to be THE ENEMY of immersive mode. Them going with Moto actions instead of the native "one-handed mode" Pie means that there's many apps that have this disgusting gray bar locked at the bottom of the screen, and no itemized "hide nav bar" menu to give me control over it. Then I see CoD Zombies being played and it doesn't wrap around the notch... so that big, beautiful 6.4 screen gets depleted by all these nasty black and gray bars until it's indistinguishable from just using a phone with a smaller screen. I think LG nails this the best. Even on a budget phone like the Stylo 4, I have the option to hide the navbar in EVERY app if I want to, as well as make any app I want full-screen. Can you see if the Moto Z4 gives us any such options? I will literally pre-order it day one if I see they've stepped away from their anti-immersive mode ways. If you're willing to test it, there's a free game called Arcane Soul that should let me know all I need to know about whether this phone gives me the freedom to make all my apps/games fullscreen. Can you download it on a Z4 and see if you can get it to be totally full screen?
It is difficult to swipe to answer calls and very hard to swipe to cancel incoming calls. And my paired Bluetooth Truck does not read my text to me while driving like my old Moto phone did. Maybe you can help. Thanks
It has been so much hype about what's is going to be the next z4 with foldable display and everything and this is just some minor upgrade I think, I think they should put a snapdragon 700 series processor almost, Motorola think they can compete in the market with the mods using them as him master key . Sorry for the bad writing. Greetings
Sometimes I think people look for the most trivial things to complain about. "The fingerprint sensor is slow". Dude...it took about a second to unlock. You in that big of a hurry? 😂😂😂😂
That was other hand one another phone that has fingerprint is on side bar which is that phone and one more i would like to know what it has call recording option...
