Most reviews are not mentioning these 2 features that make this phone comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Note, but at half the price. First off, it supports the Microsoft active stylus (technically, Microsoft Pen Protocol 1.5 or MPP 1.5). The stylus is extra cost, lists for $70 to $100 depending on whether you get the latest version or the older version. The other feature is that it supports a microSDXC card up to 1 TB (this is a change from the original spec of "only" 512 GB at the z4's launch. Currently, a 400 GB microSDXC is anwhere from $40-to $80, a 512 GB is $90 to $120, and a 1 TB is $300 to $500. I have the Microsoft stylus and it works as advertised. Load the free Microsoft OneNote program in the Play Store (there's also a free version on the Windows app store), and you can share handwritten notes across devices. I also have a 400 GB microSDSC for ebooks, audiobooks, movies (about half full). Am seriously thinking of getting the 512 GB card, when the 1 TB card comes down to $150 in 2 years, will take a boatload of audiobooks and movies.
Heck, I'm actually not bothered with any other Android smartphone because of Moto Mods. All that is left is for Motorola to build a Z4 with flagship-grade SD8xx chipset. That would be an instant winner.
I've been on the fence, as my higher-spec Z2 Force has been great, but the battery is aging. However, I could not say not to Verizon's CM deal, $120 seems a steal! I love the near-stock Android on Motorola's, and their radios/antennas have historically been best in the industry. We shall see, I've actually never handled one.
The Moto G7 Maxx has a 5000mah battery and the speaker is front facing. You might not get the mods but the giant battery on the G7 Maxx is perfect. I bought my G7 for $129 through Total Wireless, a Straight Talk plan
I love my Moto Z4. Broke the screen several months ago, now I finally found a site that sells the genuine MotoZ4 OLED screen, as they finally restocked them. LCD screen? Feh! I never settle for less!
I have had my Moto z 4 about 8 months, I love this phone especially the camera, but the screen has started coming apart, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, I gave $498 plus taxes for it at Best buy, it should not come apart like this I take very good care of my phone it still looks like brand new, I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying a Moto z 4 it could be a defect on this particular one but you might want to check out other reviews to see.
I am on the fence with this one because I have had two Motorola phones now that the batteries failed in. It is an awesome phone and I might give it a try.
I had the 1st gen of moto z and I have the JBL speaker on the back. After 7 yrs, the phone failed, so I bought the Moto z4. My speaker snapped right onto the back of the new phone.
mann i was hoping it would be like the g5 or z2 as in a fingerpring sensor for the one button nav. I hate on screen buttons so loved one button nav but now its an on screen button as well 😔ig i have to get a galaxy with a buttons
iOS is crap. Funny how they use a proprietary OS to vertically integrate to HW to lock people in. I have this phone and its amazing. Why pay 2X more? Android is a more powerful OS. And this will get the next upgrade which will make it bullet proof security. As you probably notice Apple is struggling with hacks these days.
@@kewlztertc5386 That's a great price. Those will also be unlocked from motorola.com. IMO, still worth 500 when you compare to competition feature to feature. But Moto usually has to discount to move devices. But they are still my favorite. Also get the speck case for it. The best case by far.
I just brought this phone off Verizon store online on Verizon prepaid plan . hope it's a ok phone ..its all I can afford at this time for a phone... but its cheaper on Verizon online $362
It's a cool phone my dad give me the moto z4 Verizon frost white 7 months ago he own it for 2 years he upgraded to a Motorola edge UW 2021 from Verizon he got it from the store but I am very happy with my moto z4
