Guess I have to stop riding again. Thought that now that I didn’t have to shift, foot is screwed up permanently, I could finally ride again. Damn that sucks, let’s be sure and tell the older people they’re not riding motorcycles and they are not real bikers anymore. I guess while I am at it I can tell the insurance companies my car doesn’t qualify as a “sports car” anymore since there no clutch. Think they will agree?
Three points about auto vs manual -- people today are lazy, people think of vehicles as a necessary tool rather than an exciting pleasure (thus self-driving vehicles), and (most importantly) manufacturers don't like to retool if they can avoid it so they save money by only offering the things that most people buy
