Nice presentation. Good to see that the Scram is a tough little bugger that can handle high RPM's no problem. I took a quick ride on a Scram last week and immediately found the bike to have more zip than I thought it would. I could definitely feel the torque of the engine and the engine was smooth.

This was a fantastic review! Also, great to see somebody getting the tires muddy. I've seen at least a couple of dozen Scram reviews on RU-vid recently, and this was the most thorough. You nailed it spot on. I purchased a Scram a few weeks ago, and can relate with many of the points in this video. Fortunately I haven't experienced the sleeping speedometer, yet like you pointed out - it would just need to be restarted. Regarding the tripper navigation, I've only recently started to use it. Today was my second time to try it, and my first time after reading the instruction manual. It worked flawlessly on a short trip, even with me intentionally taking wrong turns to see how it would react (FYI, I live in the USA). I suspect the tripper is a bit of an acquired touch with a grain of salt. Also I suspect it will improve with time. I do like the spartan output, just straight to the point: stating which way are the next two turns, and how far away each are. For me, that's all I need or expect from that tool while I'm actually riding. If I need more, I can pull over and study a map. Personally, I have no interest in mounting my phone to the bike.

I took a Scram for a test ride yesterday and while I hardly got the opportunity to truly test it, that bike is all I can think about.

3 times having issues with speedo cutting out is a big deal…for a non biker like me seriously thinking about getting this bike as my first bike. First time I’ve heard anyone having this issue, let alone it happening 3 times. Makes me wonder if its a fault at production with a batch. Either way not good….then again I have no base line comparison when it comes to bike faults as I dont ride yet. Time to do more research on faults and fixes with the 411. Tks for the great video btw…I’ll be mainly riding in city/local town but hopefully take it off road once in a while just for the experience so your vid def helped me out. Cheers mate, from a Pom lol

Great vid! Am gonna maybe test ride both. But thinking of the Moto Morini x cape or maybe the Zontes GK 350 (not an adv bike but am also considering the Interceptor etc). Whats your take on the KTM 390?

23:35 Royal Enfield should replace the navigation unit with the small analog tachometer from the Himalayan. I'd much rather have an analog tach.

I love you man. Taking the time to notice animals and talk to them...a guy on the streets doing that, i wouldn't think anything of it but a man on a bike doing that is just....it got me. Nice. And about the Scram, you echo my thoughts. Stronger brakes. And ditch the tripper. For that thing they made the speedometer off-centre and that really bugs me for some reason. Subbed. Now going to find your video on the Meteor 350 which I have and the roads I've taken it through here in India... let's just say that got me interested in the Scram. For now, like you said, getting whatever bike i have and having a blast with it but with the Scram in my sights. Ciao.

Thanks for very clear and helpful review which Im very thankful. I'm looking for my next bike which I prefer Japanese bike by the reliable quality. However scram has the look I like. My biggest doubt is the quality that you have mentioned on your review. I think I would like to try to book the test ride to see how I feel then make the call. Thanks again and keep the great work!👍

I don't think so quality will be big issue. Royal Enfield has bike with tough built quality, people in India take their RE bike from sea level to up 5000m altitude. Still solid.

People in India always take their RE to the Himalayas riding thousands of KM.. Would suggest you to search for video/vlogs of road trips. Plenty available 9n RU-vid . Hope it helps

Throw the standard exhaust away and fit a decent one and see what you get. My sat navigation works fine btw.

The RE scram 411 is that bike that well we all kind of been asking for a simple no problem retro scrambler that appeals to guys and girls on the money and fits Australian roads, so you could get two the gear helmets and possibly luggage 🧳 options with change for the price of a bigger Adv 🏍 bike

Today (2024) all small to medium CC bikes are made in India, so why not getting the original one? Go go Royal Enfield!

I wonder how the bike would perform on that dirt course with some decent offroad tyres? Still great video, And i bought one as my daily run around bike... (still with ceat tyres though). :)

It'sa always going to be a bit heavy for MX stuff, but it held its own on the launch.

Interesting review, though it really could have been cut down to 15 minutes or less, instead of 26. I've been considering getting back into motorcycling, after selling my last bike 4 years ago. 'Was thinking about the upcoming Honda CL-500 Scrambler, though, with the Japanese brands usually getting function and reliability right, I'd prefer the looks, simplicity, and likely, the visceral feel (and price) of this Scram 411.
@vojtal182

I decided to pull the trigger on RE. I think the Honda 500 scrambler will be something like cb500x. More street oriented with high rev motor.
