Change the propeller and use a 14inch carbon fiber it would lift that more easily and reduce the current consumption

Due to the ground effect, your readings are inaccurate. Put at least on the table so that the distance from the propeller to the ground is more than 1 meter

interesting, my glow nitro engine 4ccm could do about the same force by some 500-600w of power, so if your engine efficiency is 90%, then mine is about 25-30%

Change the prop to carbon fiber 14 Inch you will get around 1.5 kg of lift easily on 3S . I have already used that combo

do you also use the generic 5010 motor? if yes then how's the performance? i've read somewhere on a forum that the size was up to spec but the performance was not. could you give some insight?

It's flying because of the ground effect. Move the apparatus to a height, away from the floor and it will not fly.

You might be right. Another test with not ground effect should be made.

ground effect on helicopter is made by down streamed air that bounce back from ground to flat floor of fuselage, i do not thing that here is that case, i think if you install grid as floor, it will need less power to lift weights because you will have no recirculation of down streamed air that rotates up and returns into prop from up, and it raises rpm and reduces efficiency because prop would make more lift with less rpm is air from up is stationary, but who knows, please test i am curious

Your test is magnificent. we observe with a propeller of three blades there is not too much vibration for the engine and works very well

I tried with another 12 in long two blades propeller. It caused too much vibration that I wasn't able to make it go high speed. This three blades propeller was really good. You're right.

the motor could be subjected to a voltage of 6 s. Have you tested the thrust with this voltage?

I got same amt of thrust (1070g) with my generic 2212 BLDC using 8045 prop. it pulled 23 A max. I guess this motor can handle more power and bigger props try with even more bigger prop.

how long the battery will last on this motor?

It depends on the load. At the extreme condition like in the video, with current 21A, it will drain the 5200mAh battery in around 15 min. (5.2Ah/21A = 0.25h)
