I have been watching your videos for years. First off thank you for all your hard work pumping out content for us. I drove OTR in a semi truck for 12 years , for the past 7 months or so I have been making money with my cargo van. Started out with some local apps and started doing some stuff for Uship. Landed a few regular customers and I have been making a living. I am recently divorced , kids are all grown up and started their lives. I have a 2019 Chevy Express Cargo Van extended , I know it's not the high roof but it's what I have right now. It works just fine for the local gig app work and some OTR work that I do for my dedicated customers. Is it possible to make it work for expedited work if your expenses are low and you don't have to make a lot of money to make ends meet? I bought it at the wrong time early this year and unfortunately the prices have come down since then so the value has dropped, plus putting over 65K miles on it does not help. I am way upside down in it, so I am stuck with it for awhile. A follow up question is this, You can have an aftermarket high top installed on these types of vans. Have you ever heard of anybody doing this for expedite? Would brokers and shippers accept a van that has been modified like that?

Right on.. Ya mostly sales scam on classes on a lot of things. Just go do it and fail yourself and learn hands on is how i roll.... Id like to do it in my van, but the insurance scam pisses me off and i dont wanna participate in most businesses. lol. Just for starters... ie: overhead is kinda high it seems. I would for sure if overhead wasnt too high.

Enjoy your attitude and strategy. Be safe and Merry Christmas young man. 20 years ago I picked up a load 2days before Christmas and it delivered, by noon the day after Christmas. And it was on the way home. Good luck and don’t forget, I believe you’re significantly brighter than the “average” person out there on the road. In fact, IMO -I’ve found most folks in expedited are sharper than the average carrier driver. You have to ’think’ in expedited freight and not just wait for the next load. This is not a knock on regular OTR carrier freight drivers but meant as an observation and compliment to those in expedited freight.

I have been planning to get into the cargo business and getting my own authority just been waiting till I’m 18.. but I’m planning to use SUV and 12 ft enclosed trailer will I be able to run like a cargo van or similar with a truck and trailer.

I wouldn't know of any reason why anybody would pay someone for what is easily available on line. I think most of the people that pay for those "courses" are really wasting their time and probably getting the wrong information. In the long run I think the people that take the courses are looking for a short cut or there looking at an easy way out than just putting in the work themselves.
