Then you're not looking hard enough because there are plenty of people on RU-vid and they do a much better job than this and I'm not trying to be funny. Look a bit harder
Great Mr. Thomson...your video gives technical insight in a very simple and a total technical manner with practical. Wish that you keep making such knowledge sharing videos. Ulhas Dashrathe
Very good video ! Helped me alot. I've looked at a lot of videos and made some. I didn't know how to test it properly before I attached to motor. Thank you.
Indian men have all of the skills and knowledge in the world. Any time I want to learn how to build or fix something there is an indian man who knows EXACTLY what to do. The men here in USA can barely tie their own shoe laces lol
Thanks for the video. I’m not sure why you made no mention of gear box problems aside from noise. Dogs get worn, shift levers get bent, gears either fail to engage, or pop out of engagement, and no doubt other common problems occur.
Thank you for your excellent video Mr Thomson. I was hoping you may be able to give me some advice. I have a 1992 husqvarna TE 610 motorcycle. When it is idling it is jumping out of neutral and into gear! Why is this happening? Thank you. Regards, Matt.
Hi Bunsha! See you didn't show all of the small stuff the spring-loaded items running on little levers not "gear running", well Thomson there's around 25 springs so 50 leverage points it's mostly on either side of those gear-shafts your video cleverly shows, the factory technicians have a short time to figure out where the levers go including how levers are layered then mark said levers assembled without springs I, ii, iii, iiii, iiiii knowing then you allow %7.5 extra length between contact points for spring placement and usually no 2 springs are the same length and if you have a heavier gauge same length spring said heavier gauge spring is a higher use priority lever return, then 50lbs is average maximum torque setting for spring pivot bolts, a pair of circlip pliers are recommended for newer gear boxes.
I have 2007 RMZ 250. Gears shift easily to 1,2,3,5. it doesn’t shift to 4th gear. Any help would be appreciated? Very nice and informative video. Love your video and I will subscribe for upcoming videos.
I feel increased vibration at shifter on slow speed especially between 1st and neutral. Will only be noticeable if I go slower before a stop. Feels like something is rattling. Is it something on the transmission?
Mr. Thompson please I dropped my motorcycle onto the gear shifter and now have a clicking noise especially in low revs low gear under load. Is it possible to have an idea what the noise is thank you Tim
