hi. I downloaded software of PM software but unable to download install it . First it gave "error code 12029" now it gives "error code 12157". My setup is Win7 Professional & Service Pack 1 . Do you know the reason why i couldnt install it ? Thank you
A wonderful tool,thanks for the pain taken to come up with the same. For fractional pitch winding it's asking to set up the winding pattern manually,which I did, however I am unable to generate mesh as it is not allowing antipweiod setting for the same,please help.
Hello I ma not able to import the dxf file for an IPM rotor. The geometry editor gives me an error saying "Incorrect rotor geometry: outer boundary in not a circle with center at (0,0)" Can you please help with this as i am quite sure the rotor is centered at origin. Also does the editor except varying radius rotor (petal shaped) as dxf. Thank you.

Yes, I recommend using LibreCAD, it always works fine with MotorAnalysis. SolidWorks and others may not work with MotorAnalysis, but they work perfectly with MotorXP, our new software (motorxp.com/)
Typically, specify the number of mesh slices the same as the number of magnet segments in the shaft direction - it provides the most accurate results for rotors with skewed magnets as each mesh slice will be at the center of the magnet segment. However, to reduce the simulation time 3 mesh slices is sufficient in most cases. If there is no skewing, the number of mesh slices is always 1.

app does not work on windows 11. it keeps saying it is having an issue with the materials folder. wasted half an hour downloading it and trying to use it

A wonderful product....May I request you to help me figure out a way to install this...after the installation when I try to open the program, I get the following error - "The procedure entry point ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll.". Software installed fine, both standalone and MATLAB-supported. I can run the Prius example OK but that's it, the outer rotor example doesn't load. On worked examples from various textbooks (and a real motor) it simply either won't accept the geometry or won't generate winding data. If I put the winding data in manually it sometimes generates a pretty picture but the simulation wont run. Sadly the error messages and the manual don't explain why it's unhappy or what to do next :( I'm sure this is great software but it needs more working examples and better error information. I appreciate it's free, but as an impoverished student I can't afford to pay for tech support. Has anybody else got an independent working example I can look at?

Hello sir I've installed the IM version for matlab but when I write 'motoranalysis' in the command window nothing happens. I tried to change the file location and I put it in the matlab file but it did not work Is there a spacific location that I need to move the file to? By the way I installed the standalone version but it didn't work either. Thank you
Vladimir, after standalone .exe file (PM) downloaded I have an error HTTP 12029. Rerun installer and Firewall settings doesn't help. Any cure for that?
