I have. The engine is actually almost identical to the 501, only it has a shorter stroke so it revs a bit higher. Other than that, components on the bikes are identical. I found that a slightly smaller rear sprocket (I think I went down maybe 2 teeth) helps to drop the revs on the higher speed stretches like the roads, and it still has plenty of torque for the slower stuff. But they are almost the exact same bike, only the engine is more revvy and it is only a 5 speed on the 450. Mine has been great for some adventure riding, and it still does the weekend warrior stuff like taking it to the beach for a rip really well too
