@Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV it will grow, and its important. Over here in America there is a rapidly growing group of people who are burnt out and tired of the be er ending capitalist grind. I know several who have started journeys and crave new lands, stories of new lands, on motor back
LMAO re the putrid week old sweat from the socks. love your work Dave - I guess socks better than week old jocks though. Basting bags - Ha Ha Ha - My sides were on the floor. So F'n funny. I remember my first bike jacket was a polyester bomber jacket and ski gloves for the road - MX gloves for the mud as you need feel in the bush. Many years ago in my early 20's , one hot summers day I rode my XR600 from Berwick to Philip Island in a T-shirt. It was a stinking hot 40 degree day - safe to say when I got there my core body temp was about 12 degrees and could not stop shaking for over an hour - I think I was suffering hyperthermia but soldiered on. Won't be doing that ever again.
Thanks Dave, like a soothing but inspiring bed time story for adventure bike riders that makes you want to get a good nights sleep & in the morning saddle up whatever your mount is & go find whatever adventure land is closest. I enjoyed that 👍🏻
Fine bit of reportage and opinion on the BMW rally experience. I was looking for you and Nugget in this year’s BMW rally short fillum. It was certainly missing that special something.
Riding here in Norway I use a balaclava and a buff for my neck. Using goggles also helps quite a bit but I tend to only use them on longer colder rides. Good stuff :) /cheers
Thank Dave I enjoyed the the storyteller and on another note I have just left the bmw family and gone to the dark side after watching you film on the Africa twin after two f850gs I am back on a Honda standard model with quick shifter this 1100 is so much better than the first one-which I owned but that was the dct 1000 model
Hi all, the key to riding in the cold is layers....and a heated jacket and a layer of closed foam mat or a bit of sisalation reflective rooting foil on the chest, been doing it for years riding in winter in the Cooma Monaro, might try the week old sock thing one day....
I answered this one for you before. It depends on how the weight is connected to the bike. I wouldn't want to have more than 20 kg, but some riders go heavier than that.....they take so much unnecessary shit.
Absolutely love the content, but how much better would be in all these videos if any video maker stop using those cameras from years 2000 and started using cameras to actually project the real quality of the surroundings not this pixelated image. It's 2024 FFS, THEY NOT THAT EXPENSIVE!
