Plus one for the American Business! I have been a Bohn Armor user now for about 2 yrs. I’m always wearing one or more Bohn Armor garments on every ride. Like Kristen says. These garments are worn either layered under a non armed garment or on it’s own. From their riding mesh armored riding shirts or their compression style full length cool mesh armored pants, which are worn under your jeans. These riding pants come in both a hot & cold weather version. I have spoken to Kristen numerous times. She has always answered the phone and spoke at length with me. This company creates top shelf quality and stylish products with uncompromising customer service. At last. Great to see these two speaking about this great product.

I just stopped by today and was lucky enough to meet Kristen. I was passing thru on a road trip to FL from TN and wanted to get the armor shirt for summer riding. Even though it was after the official hours Kristen happily helped my wife and I get the right fit. She did mention an important point for anyone who wants to stop there. If you are on your way and just won’t quite make it in time you should call ahead and they may be able to wait and accommodate your visit. Great company and great people. All the best success for this US small business.

Chris Im usually in North Carolina for Thanksgiving because of you always mentioning Bohn Armor I decided to ride over to there store, and Im so glad I did Ed and Kristin are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet and as you know there products are all top notch. Thanks for this. I’m seriously considering placing an order. I’ll look through their lineup. My wife and I always ride protected, but would also like to be comfortable. Often the two don’t go hand in hand. BohnArmor looks like a great option.

@@cruisemansgarageAnd I sense they are genuine people. I would feel secure that their products are as advertised and that they would stand behind them. I haven’t found a protective riding jean that’s also comfortable over the long haul. Those mesh under garments look like the cat’s ass.

I just got my first Bohn products in today, the Airtex Armored Adventure shirt, with chest armor and the Cool Air Mesh Armored Riding Pants, and I'm totally impressed with the quality and fit, even though, I'm a short and husky man. I've owned a ton of different products from other companies from 46 years of riding and I could feel the quality, as soon as I reached in the plastic bags to pull the items out. I was in particular, skeptical about the strength and quality of the mesh, and I must say, I was pleasantly impressed. I would love to see the company make some breathable shirts that have Kevlar over the armored areas. I would also love to see some stretchy jeans for short fat guys like me, that have kevlar zones that protect the skid areas, butt, thighs, knees, ankles, etc. I'm taking a bunch of new gear down with me, to include these items, to my house in Colombia, South America, to try out on my BMW 310 GS, where I'll be riding on the extreme twisty roads of the Andes, down to the congested cities, where the traffic can barely move while in the really hot weather. Based on what I can already see and feel, in the quality of this gear, I have faith that these will out perform some of the big name products I have worn my whole life. I could see huge demand for this product in Colombia, for sure!

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Bohn products. I would like to see a layering system with thermal and waterproof layer(s) that go over the mesh base layer; similar to what Knox does. Sort of at odds with the capacity issue, but it would be nice to have items that were designed to work together.

A ryker rider ........ Just like me .......wow .. not many on your channel . Ufortunately ryker and spyder rider do not use much armor.. I am a safety gear maniac and always have armour ...... I'm not surprised about BMW riders being ATTGATT because they can afford the motorcycle but not the impact of the crash. Getting the BMW R1200GS was on my wish list when I was choosing my motorcycle and I'm sure glad to get the Goldwing and eventually to your channel.

I love your products! However, as with most other products in the motorcycle riding world, I have to suffer with things being too short in the sleeves (mine 35-36") and pants inseam of (mine 36"-37") and no riding boots (mine size 16). Why?? I know there are guys like me that will pay just about anything to get good stuff that fits. Think of us when designing new offerings! Thanks.

Years ago (over 30 years ago if I want to be more specific), the Motorcycle Safety Foundation published a study of whether textiles/synthetic materials coming to market at the time offered equal or better protection as traditional leathers. Body armor wasn't a thing back then, abrasion protection being the primary concern. The study found that leather was the best abrasion protection available compared to any of the textile/synthetic materials then available. The synthetics sometimes offered more comfort, particularly in hot weather. So, excluding body armor products (which apparently now available as under garments top and bottom??), is that previous study's findings still true?
