Great turn!! Excellent example of a tight long-sweeping right turn ❤🤙🏍

I learned the same in motorcycle school, but a good refresher video like this was better to see actual examples of what NOT to do and WHAT to do. Basically, STARE at your target on where you want to go.

I’m always looking to improve my cornering and this video is excellent for teaching some skills to avoid the dreaded target fixation mullarkey. Thanks.🇬🇧🇬🇧

Just try to be aware of as much as possible. Go the speed you are most comfortable with, even if it feels slow compared to others. Breathe and stay relaxed! If you carry a lot of tension, it will tire you out much faster and even hinder your movements. Be relaxed, keep an eye out and enjoy the ride!

One thing I would like to add to this video is that even though the helmet cams do make it look like they are looking straight at something else within the bend (which I would still not recommend to do as well), they might be looking further ahead with their eyes. It doesn't make much difference considering leaning into the corner will help more than staying centered.

Hello and thank you for watching. You do have a valid point because some of my racetrack time, my eyeballs looking to go that way works the same however the 360 view peripheral vision is limited in some cases by the helmet,,, but I have forced some of my 1st time beginner bikers to turn your head and it helps considerably on tight turns or making a U-turn,,,, but again to your point yes eyeballs work but in most cases if that helmet does not move "at all", a lot of times it is the trend of a bad habit and they're not really looking into the turn. The third video example is probably my favorite because that motorcycle rider is whipping it through the turn pretty aggressively and you can see his helmet slightly to the right... Thanks again for watching. ❤️🤙🏍️

But rear brake has to be used in this case while curving?
@MotoTouringWorldWide
@MotoTouringWorldWide Год назад
Good question. First brake with the rear and slowly compress the front 'BEFORE' the turn. When off the brakes before the turn, turn head/eyes, turn-in your counter-steer and let the tires grip (no brakes) and look where you want to go. Practice in a HUG parking lot with some panic turns arounds obstacles such as cones. 🤙🏍️

Shit this just happened to me yesterday. I watched the rider in front of my take a turn wide and lowside, and I immediately did the same thing as I watched him.

Hello Jimmy, thank you for watching. Glad you are OK. Sounds similar to the 2nd rider from front on the "Triple Target fixation" example here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ff8L_Veltu0.html It's probably a good thing there was NOT someone behind you "watching" you? Have a great weekend. 🤙🏍️

When did you crash on a bicycle when you were a kid ? , and in your car on a curve ? Uhm ? The problem on running wide on a motorcycle is excessive speed which forces the bike to go straight. In order to make the bike to turn you need to reduce the speed to make the bike to lean . ((Speed = radius)) You want to make the circle smaller ? Reduce your speed in the turns . Keep actively accelerating in a turn and you will end up going straight. You can easily control a bicycle by leaning in a curve and stop pedaling . You are heavier than the bicycle. But the motorcycle is heavier than you .

True 🤙. However the guy at 4:01 blew it. He was going very slow and still crashed his bike in the grass by not looking left down the road. The guy at 5:51 that went over the guardrail is a classic Target fixation example. Most of these guys are examples of going too fast as you mentioned,, "plus" Target fixation. Thanks for watching 🤙🏍️
