Good gear is better than no gear in the heat. Good gear will be vented, and keep the sun off you. I regularly rode between Phoenix and Los Angeles. I always wore a long sleeve compression shirt, long sleeve t shirt, and my jacket. Soak the T shirt in the sink at stops. Every time. This will cool you down as it evaporates. The jacket over it will prevent it evaporating too quickly. Hydrate, drink water, not gatorade. Maybe a small gatorade every third stop. But most importantly, know the signs/ symptoms of heat stroke.

Actually. Casey vlogged when he met up with dean in Los Angeles coincidentally when he was there for business and Dean had just bought his bike and was starting the trip! Everyone loved dean in that vlog and next thing ya know everyone figured out he had a channel (including myself). Love deans style. Classic dude.

So cool to see this area. I grew up in Salt Lake City, UT but lived in Tuba City, AZ for 2 years when I was in elementary school and spent every summer there up until I was 17. My grandparents had no electricity so you can imagine my summers in the desert heat. I was very lucky to see all those monuments every summer. Note: The Navajo Nation is on Mountain Standard Time. Rest of AZ is an hour behind. Hope you enjoyed the views Dean.

Beautiful! But, so is Montana and it was a sunny high of 72 today - should have come through the Bitterroot Valley on 93 and taken the high route of 90 - and a side trips to a couple of great parks - Glacier and Yellowstone. Next time.

Don't waste time on the uploads! Use the 3 hour upload time to ride to places like 4 corners before they close and then upload when you can! But either way, this is so awesome to watch man! Love it.

Sorry about the heat. My wife and kids made the same trip last summer and the heat melted the adhesive that was holding in her wind shield. Be safe out there
