I also want to tell you HELLO from the Great Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee, USA. I enjoy traveling along with you if only vicariously. As someone else also recently said here, you spread GOOD WILL wherever you go!❤ I am 77 and loving every minute.

I agree. The media is telling us all the time that the world is a dangerous place, and that our own government will protect us. I expect it is all part of control technique - imagine if we all became friendly!😍

I've had 37 motorcycles, and yes, you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

I remember those commercials from the late 60s though the 70s. I can speak from experienced because Honda folks are nice, so I worked for the M0TO company 25 years, although I worked on the Auto side of the company, I always rode my Motorcycles, and yes the motorcycle community for the most part are really nice peeps.

I'm antisocial, so I stick with Yamaha.

Indeed! My grandmother's sister Gerda was a bank clerk, or actually "bank maiden" as they were called back then. She quite spontaneously managed to get a cabin on a cargo ship from Helsinki/Finland to Hull in 1947. In those days it was also quite tricky to go abroad as you needed a certain permission to change Finnish marks to foreign currency, but working at a bank she had the right contacts to do this and get the pounds needed. She and her friend took the boat to Hull and then travelled in England on trains for many days. As she had not learned English in school, it must have been quite an adventure. Gerda remembered well how some people they met were so worried , "oh dear, young foreign girls travelling like this" (Gerda was already 40 then). Anyway, the same cargo ship that took them back was delayed (in Hamburg, a city still in ruins) and they got a reprimand when they got back at work, but that didn't stop Gerda from going abroad again, many times during the 50s, Italy was her favourite, I think. She had so amazing stories to tell about her life. Gerda was 96 when she passed away.

Well, the Sahara starts now and if Noraly rides through that desert via Algeria and Mali or Niger, the only thing I can say is "chapeau"... further that's not the most secure places due to some terror plagued territory in both countries. Therefore I think that she stays in Morocco and rides Western Sahara to Mauritania which is slightly less risky . There she still needs to avoid the Polisario controlled territory. But again this is serious desert riding if she wants to end up in Nouakchott. Respect ,respect!!!

@@selcukcilek555 I am from Algeria. Unfortunately Noraly can't enter Algeria because she needs visa. Safety-wise, you're absolutely right. As the saying goes "Ignorance is bliss". When you're not aware of the danger, that's when adventure starts. It's not very safe in my country for women especially. I'm not sure about Morocco but she's really brave and i admire what she does !

​@@selcukcilek555 Man it's nice letting this people know about this infos, hope she read this and take your advise, welp, she managed to surpass and dodge some dangerous places in Mexico last season, and for what I see she always check and ask for advise about her route's status for her every trip, so she'll be ok, she's tough after all.

Most Moroccan in your country they are the fourth generation as most off other people including you from other colonies so it’s hard to know about their culture because they became they are Belgium now .same with the African American or Irish American or British 😂😂

Morocco is so diverse culturally...and the difference is deep even in the distribution of ressources (easy to notice in Noraly's journey). Unless your neighbour is a big traveller, he might only discuss the region he's coming from. Though there is a common culture spread by the official government to propagate some kind of common cultural symbols...but anyways ...I don't want to be too politial in this chanel. Cheers !

Exact. Le Maroc est une tour de Babel, linguistiquement parlant. Et Noraly est polyglotte. N’empêche que ce sont les rencontres qui se déroulent en pidgin (avec les sons, les mains, les sourires) que l’on préfère!

Thank you, that is so good to know. I toured Morocco extensively in 2017 and loved how Moroccans speak many languages and even when they do not, they try and find a way to communicate ... that is hospitality💖 Whereas I have been to other developed countries where they wave their hands in the 'No No' manner and close the door.

I lived in the canary islands for some time. Spanish, Arabic, farsi, and several Moroccan dialects mixed with english and French.

To be precise : Morocco never was a French colony, but was a "protectorat" (like Tunisia) until 1956 (and not 58 as I wrote before). Algeria was indeed colonised and was a French "département" until 1962.

Exactly Not to mention that the Moroccan Diaspora around the world is very large. Especially in Europe and North America. I was born and raised in France and spent all my childhood summers in Morocco with my cousins from all over the map. All staying at my grandmothers house and mixing Moroccan Arabic, English and all out respectives languages (French German Dutch Spanish Italian 😅) The good old days

Atlas Mountains are absolutely stunning and the people warm and hospitable; I have experienced their warmth & willingness to help first hand on my tour of Morocco in 2017

I think key to seeing the world is not to compare one place to another or one mountains to another. I am just as AMAZED with the Atlas Mountains as I was with the mountains in Mexico. This whole planet is AMAZING, through their own characteristics.

It is normal for languages to vary this much. Once England was like this. Some parts of Switzerland still are. Language unification is usually created by force by a central government.

In the case of Morocco the Atlas mountains made it difficult to maintain the same pronunciation and therefore we have different Amazigh dialects now, however they are all using same root words.
