What a great post. We are currently waiting impatiently for the 5th December to come so that we can go and pick up our new to us Motorhome. The main topic of conversation and debate is the bedding, so this has been extremely useful as it gives us ideas as to what we can do. Thank You
Looks great Kat! Love how you can edit the videos so easy!! 😂 Strange to see myself on uTube 😂 Glad you liked it we had fun!! I’m the photographer in the family yet the GoPro is my hubby’s “toy” 😂 stay safe and chat soon K
Great idea. I love seeing the changes people make to improve their motorhomes. We are currently trying to work out how we can change our wardrobe door to open the other way. It drives me crazy that they have put it on the wrong way round as it is so hard to access when the rear bed is made up.
What a great idea! We are wannabe motorhomers and looking a lot at the moment at layouts etc. Loved this 'very inheritable' motorhome 😉. After years of narrow boating , don't mind making the bed up but never thought of doing this. Would love to see more tours of subscribers motorhomes. X
Thanks girls! We have a fabulously versatile Swift Compact C404 with a pull down double bed above the back lounge the cushions of which make up another double. My husband sleeps up top and I below on a self covered microfibre mattress, but on long trips this can take on the ridges of the cushions, even when rearranged. So we bought a single Mattress to replace the cushions which we leave at home. Gives us a fixed bed for long trips and lounge/bed for short. With a dinette up front, we use the fixed bed as a day bed and 3 large windows at the back for views and light which we love. We will do a video for you. ❤️
I’d be so interested to see how easy (or not) it is to pull down the fixed bed.... we have the same model and I really struggle to pull the bed down ... bought without seeing (new) whilst in lockdown, but can’t believe that it should be so difficult. Would really appreciate hearing ...
Done the bed origami thing, now have a fixed bed. It’s just better in every way. Could only see us going back to a none fixed bed if we seriously downsized. No faffing around twice a day, bedding has a permanent home feeing up storage and pick the right fixed bed and you get masses of storage under it.
We don’t mess around with bedding, we just use 2 good sleeping bags that we join together, then they fit into stuff sacks and take up not a lot of room 😃👍🏻
My beloved did something similar Here is her recipe. 1) Take a super king duvet must be super 2) divide into 2 smaller pockets (roughly 2:1) with a line of Stitching from the open end to closed (under yer chin) end. About a third of the way across. 3) in the smaller pocket slide a single bed sized topper thin mem foam is best. 4) in the larger pocket slide a single duvet.. ET VOILA. Like this one you can have a spare cover made up and ready.to change if need be. The real comfort of these is it smooths out the lumps in case your game of Moho cushion tetras wasn't quite right.. We have a small van with drop down bed, I sleep upstairs she prefers down stairs but it all goes on the bed in the ''loft' during the day..
