Thanks DetroitBORG. This really helped allot to get up and going. Had to give up on my original Droid2 finally and am glad I stayed with Droid. Still working through some minor set ups like moving icons to start screens. Thanks again for your tutorial.

If I may ask Detroitborg are you gonna do a review of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 mines on the way and I think I'm gonna love this Droid it looks so beautiful and the display is so much better than its predecessor

Wow. Coming from a dedicated apple user, this phone is simply amazing. Will definitely look into it in the future.

When I saw this video I felt like if 'unboxing' were some kind of sport practice because of the way he speaks about the features and stuff Lol

Sim tray is a pretty cool touch, also the update for google now makes the voice activation sounds a lot less ear piercing/more normalized with the system volume

I'm typing this on my 2015 Motorola Droid Turbo. Thinking about upgrading, but can't find a good replacement. Phones are still trying to catch up to many specs of the Droid Turbo. I'm very disappointed with what the phone market has to offer in 2020. Maybe I'll wait another year.

The DIMPLE on Moto phones was supposed to be for Fingerprint Touch ID but Apple bought the company Motorola was working with. I think some employee probably tipped off Apple and they grabbed it up quick. Motorola said they could not find another company making any Touch ID that was good enough so that is why the Dimple never got used.

A straight to the point, good review So disappointed they took away the notification LED, who wants to have to go near your phone and wave your hand over it to see if you have missed messages/calls? I have the Moto G and I use the notification LED to see if I have a message etc from across the room, why on earth remove the notification LED and make people have to go over near their phone? This to me is a step backwards. Don't Motorola or other companies actually survey their users as to what they like about their phones? When you replace the functionality of something, what replaces it should do everything and more, not less! The other disappointment is no dual sim. I use dual sim to keep my work and private life completely separate Motorola will not be getting my money this time around which is a shame, I'm looking for a higher end phone with a larger screen and dual sim to upgrade from my Moto G but it seems the Turbo will not be the phone for me

Hi Mike sorry to be off topic but what case is your 6 in , in this video. Is it leather or silicone ? Asking because that bottom looks somewhat different than my apple leather does

This was very helpful. I am not very 'tech savvy' and when asked how I like my new phone my response was "I don't, it is too complicated". This tutorial gave me lots of useful information. He did talk fast but had to, to get all the information in. It was okay because I would just pause and/or back up as needed. My new answer to how I like my phone will not be "I like it".

The Droid Turbo and the Moto X don't have the same processor, they have the snapdragon 805 and 801 respectively.

No, the Droid X is a super phone that was never revealed as such. This droid will never compare. It's a different league.

What was Motorola thinking when they didn't include OIS in the camera. This is a flagship phone and most phones of this caliber come with that. For me this is definitely the deal breaker. Otherwise it's phenomenal.

First off, love the videos! I do have a question for you...I have a Motorola Droid Maxx, which is basically the older version of this phone. I actually made my decision on buying it after watching your Droid Ultra video. Anyway, I was wondering if the Turbo charger would act the same way with my Maxx, or would it mess up the battery? It has the similar "48 hour" battery life. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Very nice review, but I have one word for you...decaffeinate! Slow down and smell the roses! You are the fastest talker in the world...the whole wonderful review is paced like a legal disclaimer!

They messed up with the capacitive buttons it looks outdated being brand new a shame since its probably one of the best phones out now. Motorola should also release it as a gsm unlock in the US as well

Just FYI... The droid turbo uses snapdragon 805, moto x uses 801 :)

If people are turned off by it being on Verizon I'm pretty sure I heard that there was going to be an international version of this phone.

Moto X and Droid Turbo have different Snapdragon chips,They are not the same....But excellent review...

***** Did you have issues with the shutter and AF speed on the camera? I returned my turbo simply because it was taking 2.5 to 3 seconds for the shutter to take the pic. So incredibly slow for the standards of a 2014 smartphone.

The speaker is on the left side of that speaker bar. It does not cover the whole bar unfortunately. Kind of sucks that the Moto G 2014 gets two speakers and the Moto X and Turbo only get one.

So is this as close to iphone 6 as we will see in android? Clean oper system, good camera and great battery?

So ***** would you pick this, the S5 or the One M8? I like all three phones but the only thing I don't like about the Turbo is the shutter speed and I don't like the M8's camera because it has less megapixels than my S3. Or would you wait for the M9 and compare that to the Turbo?

Great review. But i noticed you're using the old system version.21.21.12 they released a new system version the day before Halloween 21.21.15 can you please update the phone and let us know if there are any noticeable changes to the phone like with battery life or auto focus or lag.. Thanks.

If only Barnes Nobles's tablet's had 21 megapixel rear (10 megapixel front) camera's, a quad core cpu/processor and an amoled display. I forgot to mention the 565 ppi and 2K screen resolution. Of course, that dream device would sell for $1,000-$2,000 U.S. dollars.

I heard the on screen buttons on AMOLED displays will have burn-in. Have you experienced this with other phones? I've gotten used to the capacitive buttons on the Turbo. Some apps/games wouldn't hide the onscreen buttons on my previous phone- so it's nice to get full screen ALL of the time. That said, my LG G2 gets pretty much the same battery life as my Turbo, so I'm a little disappointed about that.
