They would sell millions of this device if it had better support. Motorola is missing a huge opportunity to take over the mid range department. If it had 3 years of OS support and 4 years of security. This phone would change the game. I'm not too happy with the processor, but I could live with it.

I love this phone has headphone jack, sd card slot, fm radio app and stylus support. I wish i could buy it across the pond! I do not give a rats arse about update, i am so envious that americans are getting this. I wish moto sold it here.

This phone is amazing so far. The 256 GB of storage is so good!! Plus i could expand the storage even further with a 2 TB Micro SD card!! The phones performance is superb and snappy due to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processer along with the 8 GB of RAM + RAM Boost. Used to own 2021 Moto G power. This phone is awesome & I'm loving this Caramel Latte Stylus so far!! I am definitely keeping this for the long term. I don't see myself upgrading from this phone anytime soon!! 😅

I haven't been this excited about a new device in a while. The G stylus 5g 24 looks like an excellent device for $399. Motorola is an underrated brand. These Moto phones should get more coverage.

This is a great phone. I originally bought a Nothing Phone 2a but it just wouldn't turn on one day. Thankfully I was able to return it on Amazon and got this phone instead. I have no regrets. 256gb is awesome and I get headphone jack and a SD card slot. Maybe the only downside would be the haptics and camera, which aren't really that bad to begin with.

@@Momomo7798 I've been watching all the unboxings and reviews on this phone and I have to agree it's a great phone. I do wish it had more support and a better IP rating but otherwise I love Motorola. You get a more stable Pixel like experience. Haptics could be better and in my experience the cameras work well enough for my needs. There aren't many phones that come with expandable storage and a headphone jack. And all phones in 2024 should come with 256 GB base models because file and app sizes are bigger.

Dude I just got this at Metro for 99$ and it's one of the best phones by Moto ever at this price range! The screen is miles ahead of Samsungs similar prices A series phones and the processor alone was enough for me to be happy with the SD 6 gen 1 8gb ram and 256gb storage

Very comprehensive. You may want to try using the external mike to get rid of the wind noise. ALL top level phones do not have an audio jack and pick up spurious sounds, and I am staying away from all of them. This Moto piece looks just right for me. Thumbs up.

The support on this phone is shameful. 1 OS update? 3 years of security? The processor is outdated... Really? A snapdragon 6 gen 1 ?!?... c'mon. It's a shame because the highlight of the device is the headphone jack and micro SD card expansion.

It has an IP52 rating Which means it's dust-proof and can withstand light splashes of water, but it's not submersible.

Motorolas are great except for their software support. They become obsolete within a year and unsafe after that with no security updates. At that point might as well buy a Pixel A for $100 more and get 7 years of updates which will in the long run save you money not having to keep buying a new phone every 1\2 years

The phone I really wish Motorola would upgrade is the G Power series. They should make that one a $399 phone too so it can have the better cameras and screen. I don't care much for a stylus.

I don't like the swipe to go back. My Google Pixel 7 Pro has that, it gets annoying when I'm reading an article it tends to exit the screen. I prefer a button at the bottom that allows you to click back.

Good review... but one new feature in the 2024 model that wasn't mentioned here is the support for eSIM. I find it odd that a physical eSIM card is required instead of being "embedded" in the phone (what the 'e' stands for.) 🤔

Hey. Can you elaborate on your comment? Main reason is I'm considering this for the said reason of it being eSIM, but are you saying that it requires a PHYSICAL eSIM ? I know that it also has a single slot for a physical nano-SIM though... So which is it? TIA.

@@Anil_DDappa I'm not really sure since I haven't bought the phone yet... I still have the 2022 model which I didn't upgrade last year bc there's no eSIM feature. From watching some RU-vid reviews (which hardly even mention the eSIM feature) and looking at the specs on Motorola's website, I previously got the notion that the SIM tray holds a physical SIM card and an eSIM. However that seems unusual bc eSIM are generally embedded in the phone. So I can't give you a definitive answer. My interest in the eSIM feature is that it can be handy when traveling overseas.

I'm thinkinh about replacing my replacement phone my Galaxy A54 5G with either the Galaxy A35 5G or Galaxy A25 5G or Galaxy A16 5G when it comes out or Motorola G Power 5G 2024 or Motorola G Stylus 2024 or Motorola G 5G 2024. I've only owned one Motorola and it was the Motorola G7 Power. I''ve owned a bunch of Samsungs owned the Galaxy J3 2016 which was my 1st Samsung phone owned the Galaxy A32 5G, Owned the Galaxy A15 5G and now own a Galaxy A54 5G. Maybe thinking about getting a Motorola as a next phone Idk for sure yet thinking between only Samsung and Motorola. Not really into iPhones as I've been a android user pretty much my whole life. I just like how android runs. and dont like how expensive iphones are at all i think think apple is verily overpriced and way to expensive for people to be buying it but people buy it and idk why they do.
